There is no such 'thing' as mind... apart from the idea of 'mind'... which 'idea' is not what thought says it is.
It is 'that which is known as mind'... and 'what' is that?
No idea.
Mind is the only instrument known to man that is sensitive enough to detect an idea. No idea means no thought, which means no mind, which means the access to mind is closed either permanently (death of the body) or temporarily (for various reasons.)
Such a dumb response.Walker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 1:29 pmMind is the only instrument known to man that is sensitive enough to detect an idea. Because sensory gates are open and triggering thoughts as evidenced by writing, then “no idea,” is an inaccurate idiom that actually means refusal to think, for the concept of “no idea,” indicates that the portal to mind that you are as awareness, is open and registering thought concepts.
A philosophy forum is an inappropriate place for refusing to think.

It's another way of asking who is knowing the knowing, who is feeling the feeling, or who is experiencing the experience?surreptitious57 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 11:46 am
Unfortunately I do not actually know what that question is
I shall endeavour to persevere with approved content appropriate to incomprehension of the unknowable, and to be extra attentive for appearances of the rhetorical interrogative.
‘I’ am not here. No bodies home.
