We make up God like we make up all knowledge. All things/ideas/concepts are knowledge.
Knowledge can only point to the ineffable unknowable. No knower knows or has knowledge. The knower cannot be seen without becoming known as a thing, idea, concept, and that which is known, can know nothing.

God is a comfort to many people, but it's only an idea, one that helps them deal with the actual unresponsive valueless universe that is real reality.

The universe wasn't caused by a God, nor was it caused by a Big Bang.
So what's really going on here?
All we can logically deduce here is that reality is a ZERO SUM game that is constructed of artificially known concepts in a cause and effect duality.Where nothing caused something, and the something is the effect of nothing.
It is self evidently known that there is no first causer of reality. In the same context it is known that infinity cannot be caused.
Infinity cannot have a 1st cause. It just can't. Therefore, nothing about reality and the universe ever needs to have a cause. All need, is just an artificial need that does not need to be. All that is SEEN externally are effects of nothing, appearing as something.
Causes and their effects exist only within the realm of ''knowledge''
So what exactly is being pointed to here?
The answer to that question is that the (SEEN external universe) does NOT know it exists.
So what or who does know the external universe exists?
The knower knows, and the knower also knows there is absolutely nothing existing outside of this known knowledge. The external universe that does not know it exists, has no need or use for knowledge, for the universe already exists for no reason or purpose, it just exists...it doesn't need a reason or purpose to BE. It has no need to have artificially imposed illusory constructs placed upon it by you the knower.
Who or what is the knower of knowledge? the answer is ''You Are'' ...it is you, you are the one that causes the external universe to exist. Prior to this causality phenomena that is known to arise as and through your body mind mechanism, prior to this knowing, the external universe has absolutely no way of knowing it exists, even though it does and is self evidently clear, and that's only because you are artifically imposing a knowledge upon it. You are the knower/knowing arising from the not-knowing.
And so what is knowledge but an artificial conceptual overlay upon not-knowing existence. And 'you' take this artificial knowledge to be literal reality, when in FACT reality is nought but a fictional knowledge believed to be literal. When you were born you had no knowledge of anything at all, you had to acquire knowledge, and like a child mind you believed in your knowledge just like a child believes in fairy stories. And this phenomena is just a function of the universe itself, pretending to know itself, it is the power of the believing brain which all part of the fictional phenomena that the universe artificially superimposes upon itself.
In my opinion, when this knowledge is seen for what it really is, it's seen as a stupid dumb game that has no real purpose or meaning, because it all amounts to A ZERO SUM GAME. . All this addiction to pain and pleasure is all for nothing, over and over again, until we've had enough. Pleasure is only valued when pain is absent, otherwise there is zero value to living at all. Value is seen in the pleasure and beauty, but these are of value only when the pain and ugliness of reality are absent.
Through knowledge we know how the game is played,and because we know how the game is played, we can end the game anytime we like.
