Well, we've got a bigger problem, Henry.henry quirk wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 7:25 pm as I say: the fat chick ain't wailed yet, no matter what the propagandists say
What's become clear in the last few days is pretty much as follows: the American people can no longer know what the true "will of the people is," because your electoral process is broken beyond repair. It can be subverted from a thousand angles by interests that have no relevance to the will of the American people, and there's not a thing they can do about it right now.
Job number 1, no matter who is president, ought to be electoral reform. That would include things like an absolute end to mail-in balloting, the absolute requiring of ID for all voting, the end of pre-election polling, bi-partisan scrutineering, and a one-day national election, among other things. And procedure for every state has to be strict, standard and transparent. I would suggest that significant prison terms should attach to any covert activity that stands to skew an election, as well.
But right now, the biggest problem America has is the lack of confidence citizens can have in whatever is being presented to them as "the vote." Nobody believes they know the truth right now...even those who are "getting what they want" for the moment.
