There is no personal God or impersonal God.
There is no personal God or impersonal God.
Believed Gods and their creations do not exist except as fictional stories, all quite silly fables absent of any real literal actual substance.
In truth, the very idea that there is a ''My God'' would be like holding on to the believed idea that the cartoon character Cinderellla has a biological father.
The human mind wants these characters to be real because they make us feel good, they stimulate the pleasure centres of the brain, but sadly these characters are not real, and we really do know that deep down, but still we cling on to the belief. And that clinging is what keeps the story spinning, the world of make belief becomes a never ending story, and it's an addiction that is hard to break free from.
Whatever is labeled a ''thing'' is really not what the label says it is, but since it is NOT KNOWN what anything is, a label will always suffice and make what is really not known.. known. And it's the lie we all fall for.

...we really do know that deep down...
what I know is...
God exists
God's existence brings me no pleasure or comfort
God is not a salvation; He's an explanation

There's no salvation, pleasure or comfort for any born sentient creature. Life is an endless shithole of death and destruction, suffering and pain. No intelligent creator here at all.henry quirk wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 1:03 am ...we really do know that deep down...

If you want to continue falling for lies, then you are completely free to do that.
It appears here now that you have absolutely NO IDEA, NOR CLUE, as to WHY you fall for the lies, correct?
Re: There is no personal God or impersonal God.
No that is not correct.
But if you assume there is a WHY then only you can know why. WHY bother asking me what you already know. WHY ASK ME when you DONT HAVE TO?
Idiot.

Re: There is no personal God or impersonal God.
For some is too much, even for some is too higher price to pay. It's just not worth it if some are going to get a raw deal because even if it wasn't you, it might have or could have been you, so in my opinion it's just not worth the risk imposing that on sentient feeling consciousnesses when we already know the risk. After all, we are the purveyors of knowledge so we should know better.henry quirk wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 3:07 pm Life is an endless shithole of death and destruction, suffering and pain.

That's what you get when you eat from the tree of knowledge, you get exactly what knowlege informs.

so, in the face of such overwhelming misery and meaninglessness: what should we do?Dontaskme wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 10:06 pmFor some is too much, even for some is too higher price to pay. Re: There is no personal God or impersonal God.
So WHY then do 'you' fall for the lies?
But I do NOT assume there is a WHY. This is because I KNOW WHY.
Also, and by the way, NOT only me can KNOW WHY.
To CLARIFY. That is WHY.
Considering that it was 'you' who just CLARIFIED that what 'appeared', to me, was, SUPPOSEDLY, INCORRECT, then this is now OBVIOUS that i did NOT already know. Thus the CLARIFYING QUESTION, and thus the obvious, necessary, HAVE TO, as well.
So some are now wondering who the actual, so called, "idiot" is here now.
Re: There is no personal God or impersonal God.
If we need to ask that question at all, means we are mentally in pretty bad shape, even more so than we already are.henry quirk wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 10:55 pm

Remember, knowledge is power. Let those who have the knowledge play God.
Re: There is no personal God or impersonal God.
So, 'I' am a "fool" now, correct?
What is this in relation to, EXACTLY?
I was just pointing out the contradictions you were making, and just pointing this out after 'you' called 'me' an "idiot".
