Philosophy of Morality Different From Philosophy of Politics

Should you think about your duty, or about the consequences of your actions? Or should you concentrate on becoming a good person?

I didn't miss your points. I disagree with them because you are not adding anything new but altering HOW you approach morals in a way you WANT them to exist universally. I understand why many do not want to permit a nihilisitic interpretation but can assure you that any depression that it may appear to represent for many, there are still ways to deal with this without having to find some physical creation of 'morality' as some kind of elemental particle.

I think you just need time to let this absorb. While I understand that you seemed to have invested a lot of thought into it, your investment will not go to waste just because it could be false. I hope that you don't give up trying but don't believe that I can add anything more than I've tried here. Sorry if I'm not convincing enough. But my own effort seems futile here.

I believe you missed my point because what you expressed above is not in alignment with what I am proposing. You have not understood [not necessary to agree with] my main point.

Yes, I am not adding any new principles in general but only specific to Morality in contrast to the ineffective moral & ethics approaches proposed to date, re Consequentialism, Utilitarianism, deontology, and the likes.

Note the Covid19 epidemic at present in the case of well-being, health, medicine and mortality.
  • 1. The IDEAL
    I bet every human on Earth who is informed of the Covid19 epidemic will definitely have in mind to aim for the highest ideal, i.e. the total extermination of the corona-virus [SARS-CoV-2] so that they will not have the threat of mortality from this dangerous virus.
    As such one can infer from the above;
    All humans will agree with the following maxim;
    The corona-virus [SARS-CoV-2] ought to be exterminated.
    But in practice this is an impossible call.

    2. The PRACTICAL
    Thus as we are aware, the above maxim can only be a guide and cannot be enforced 100% because humans cannot win against nature to exterminate the corona-virus [SARS-CoV-2].

    The best that can be done is to have secondary goal[s] of ensuring there is a vaccine to immunize anyone who is injected with the vaccine. But not all people will accept the vaccine as seen with the case of smallpox and other vaccines.
Now I wonder you could see the similar pattern in the above re the Medical Framework and the Moral & Ethical Framework I proposed. The IDEAL in the case of Morality is the secular objective absolute moral laws.
The practical is the Ethics in the case of Morality & Ethics.

If you can see it, the principles of the ideal versus the practical are exactly the same in both Framework.

The principles in the medical in this case is presented crudely but it can be systematized and organized.
If this is done, both will share the same basic principles in managing the Framework and System.

If you can't see it, never mind.
