The disgrace of the modern "logic."
The modern "logic" or rule making tends to ruin the mind by drawing it away from reason into sheer abstraction. One begins to find "contradictions" all over the place, where they don't exist. And many other supposed offenses against "logic." The value of reason, since it is inseparable from human meaning, is lost. The tradtional syllogistic which lays all emphasis on the reasonableness of the premises is replaced by the game of abstract rules.
