Because humans love to have something to 'faux panic' about. There always has to be some kind of new 'disease of the month'' around at any given time.
Bye the way V ..have you started stockpiling food yet , and getting hand sanitizer on Ebay for 300 quid a bottle because it's already sold out in the shops due to panic.

.
I keep feeling as if I'm missing something. I noticed the supermarket shelves seemed emptier than usual and it didn't occur to me that idiots were stocking up. When the next plague comes we are definitely going to know about it and it's not going to be some pissy little cold.
Hahaha!

Don't forget to get your vaccine when it finally arrives, that's if there is anyone left to benefit from it ...

It's already here...in locust form in Africa

They were spared this Covid 19 virus and given the locusts instead.

The wisdom of robbing peter to pay paul.

Coronavirus fears slice $444BILLION off net worth of 500 richest people in the world with Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates the biggest losers.
The combined net worth of the world's 500 richest people, including Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, fell by $444billion as health officials around the world struggle to contain the mysterious pathogen.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates urged wealthy nations to help low and middle-income countries strengthen their health systems in hopes of slowing the spread of the coronavirus. horror! Aww, those poor poor people, we must help them. Even though the meek will inherit the earth. Did the rich people forget that?

Well it's not quite at the CT's level yet, but we're working on it, wouldn't want to scare the straights shitless too soon, gotta break them in gently, slow and easy. Get them accustomed to it, you know.

Meanwhile, there's no where to escape. I guess we aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

''The prototype of SpaceX's next-generation Starship rocket failed to take off during testing on Friday night in Boca Chica, Texas. Footage shows the spaceship, known as SN1, exploding, sending the stainless steel cylinder flying off its stand and crashing. This no doubt poses a setback to Elon Musk and his plans to put people on Mars.''

I'm sure the martians are delighted and rubbing their hands in glee.

London Parliament could be suspended under secret plan for worst-case coronavirus scenario with Boris Johnson running Britain 'from a war bunker' .

Panic because no one in the world knows what this novel virus is actually capable of.

This is how you prepare yourself for your future. As something analogous to another thing of a later period. A prototype of realtime events that only exists in a movie. The movie of I AM A PROJECTION of my thoughts...coming to every CONSCIOUS screen near you...AKA Consciousness.

Then again, all the scaremongering is a way of containing the virus and preventing it from 'going viral'. If it's successful then we will never know, and we will have the luxury of saying it was 'just a storm in a teacup'. 'Scaremongering' or 'taking precautions'? If nothing is done then we will all be shrieking about that and demanding that heads roll. Mind you, if they were really serious about containing it then all air travel would have been stopped. Imagine the uproar though.

Well nothing spreads more than the fear of fear itself.

The whole world is now under attack by this airborn virus that is more destructive than the normal common flu.

The worlds governments...are now caught in a catch 22 situation, stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Either we sacrifice the economy to save the people. Or we sacrifice the people to save the economy.

All we can do in reality, is keep calm, sit back and watch this whole shit show unfold as it wills. There is nothing we can do about it, as it's already in motion. No flu strain has ever been erradicated entirely ..these viruses are only going to get worse, it's probably natures way of keeping the fragile eco system in balance. Humans are just going to have to accept that they are not the most brightest or prized or cleverest species on the planet, and that no amount of money is ever going to save us. It's time to stop over consuming and taking more than we need. As our obesssion with greed is out of control.

Nature is self-cleaning and self-correcting. She wins, we lose. She gives us plenty of chances to get it right, but we can't seem to get it right, why? because we won't be satisfied until we have poisoned and polluted this planet to the detriment of our own death with our selfish and stupid self serving activities.

Perhaps humans will learn not to be so bloody filthy and revolting. Wash their hands. Not sneeze all over everyone in public transport. Stop spitting! Whenever I hear a dirty old prik hoik and then hurl a gob of disgusting stuff onto the footpath I want to smash his face in.

Problem is, it's no good just washing our hands, we have to be more aware that everything we touch on a daily basis is teeming with our germs.
Here's just a few things.

Paper Money.
Money coins.
The computer keyboard.
The iphone.
The hole in the wall cash machines.
Credit card machines in all department stores.
Supermarket trolly handles.
Door handles to buildings.
Touch buttons in elevators.
All modes of public transport.

The list is endless, so what are we going to do, deep clean the entire planet.

I think it's too late....we are literally walking on our own pollution that we have generated over the entire time we have been here, which is only a drop in the ocean of time within the grand scheme of infinity.

Without a healthy soil, we won't be able to grow healthy food to survive.

It's not that hard to wash your hands before (and after) eating. We don't need to 'deep clean' the planet. There's a difference between exposure to normal germs which are around us and on us all the time, and the kind of poor hygiene that spreads disease. Why is disease rampant in places where people are crowded together in dirty conditions? In modern countries with a high standard of living we don't have that excuse. We can't eliminate disease and viruses, but we can limit their spread.
