The irony of Judaism is that the Jews believed that God would give them land, a protected land (the promised land). And the person they perceived as far less than the Christ....DID!
God did provide it via a predominantly Christian nation (England) and created the land called Israel.

Predominately Christian nations - UK, USA (etc..) now protect what was declared as theirs.
So God\Christ fulfilled THEIR promise...so why are the Jews still lacking in faith?
They have actually received what they requested - through Christ.
AMEN.

Re: The Irony of Judaism
The 'promised' land was Egypt originally but evolved today to be presumed Palestine. The last Kingdom era of Egypt were the original founders of the religion that had its outer post's last stand at Jerusalem long after the fall of the prior Egyptian rule.attofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 1:30 pm The irony of Judaism is that the Jews believed that God would give them land, a protected land (the promised land). That your beloved Christian peoples 'gave' Palestine to Jews was at the expense of stealing it away from the people there in relatively modern times and was also done in hope to redirect Jews away from those same Nations aiding to set up the state. It also coincidentally favored the Jewish Zionists by proxy of Western Christianity's wish to assure the stage set to permit the eventual rebuilding of the Temple to fulfill Christian prophesy.

Ok. Cite your biblical reference where 'God' stated that Egypt was the promised land.Scott Mayers wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 4:34 amThe 'promised' land was Egypt originally but evolved today to be presumed Palestine. Not sure why you think I dearly love the Christians, I find most of them quite repulsive.Scott Mayers wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 4:34 amThat your beloved Christian peoples 'gave' Palestine to Jews was at the expense of stealing it away from the people there in relatively modern times and was also done in hope to redirect Jews away from those same Nations aiding to set up the state. The Israelites of Canaan (the Jews) have every right to the region - although I don't agree with the further expansion taking over land from Palestinians.
Re: The Irony of Judaism
England has no Government. The UK government promised the Jews a 'National Home , whatever that might be, to borrow money when it had no right to Palestine whatever. It observed their League of Nations mandate reasonably fairly well after the War until the Palestinians rose against them, at which they destroyed the liberation forces, opening the way for Zionist terrorists first to murder so many British troops that Bevin decided to get out, then defeat the weak and divided Arab forces of the neighbouring states. The United Nations adopted an utterly illegal resolution setting up a Zionist state because the US and the USSR didn't want displaced persons . The whole business has nothing to do with the UK, or even England.

your view has irony, but not all that accurate.attofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 1:30 pm The irony of Judaism is that the Jews believed that God would give them land, a protected land (the promised land). And the person they perceived as far less than the Christ....DID!

"the promise of land" was a historical fact - accomplished AFTER the Torah stories about the Jews getting the land from the Caanites (land was taken by 1100 BC, Torah was written in 800 BC).
thems the fact, Balfour is irrelivent WRt to the Torah tales of land for the Jews.
and so is your Jesus BTW who showed up 800 yrs later - when Rome was ruling all and so he is irrelivant for Jews.
