I agree that that this is what you adult human beings do.Nick_A wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:39 am Age
I'm not being critical since apprently you have not been exposed to the concept of conscious work. It is more commonly known in Buddhism. But who would not know how to consciously work?
And what is actually lost through ignorance, which you are talking about here?
The idea is that we have three primary means of experiencing and interpreting the external world. We do so through our senses, our emotions, and our associative thoughts. They would be consciously connected as inner unity in a conscious human being. The fallen human condition has made it so that they are connected by imagination. Consequently we are not conscious to the experience of life - we create it in our imagination.
I do not see any work is needed in order to do what just comes very naturally, to me, anyway.
I have never used the same word for both.Nick_A wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 2:39 am But as we are, sometimes we are either lost in thought, expressing negative emotions or closed to anything but the strongest sensations. Have you ever questioned the difference between feeling cold and sensing cold? Even though they are different we use the same word for both.
What is the difference, to you, between 'feeling cold' and 'sensing cold'?
Have you ever questioned that there is no actual cold, nor hot?
A person can also consciously work when learning HOW to live in Peace and Harmony with each "other" together.
There is no such thing as "our mind".
If you say so.
Can it be said that learning any thing has a goal, which encourages conscious work, also?
Why do you lack a goal.
I have a goal.
I accept that you lack the inner unity, at the moment, to realistically experience Life. I have said this previously also, but not in the same words.
But once you know how to experience Truth, then Truth just appears naturally always anyway. No "work" needed at all.
Also, one does not need a goal of experiencing Truth to just experience, and see, Truth.
If you say so.
Absolutely every one is ABLE to do this. In fact absolutely every one is doing this when they were born into Existence. This ability, however, just gets diminished along the path. Human beings are taught to not experience Life, Itself, but to want and desire things, which leads them to self-satisfying imagination.
The real meaning of Life and of human purpose is discovered and known, when, as you say, you stop that self-satisfying imagination, et cetera.
If you BELIEVE this must continue, then you WILL continue to 'create this in your imagination'.
Your imagination and BELIEFS is "creating your world", which if you have not yet noticed, because you are lost in thought, is a very negative view. That is if we go off your six last quotes.
The actual Truth, however, can be much stranger, and much more positive, than you could even imagine it is.
