Good article.

From personal experience philosophy and martial arts are directly intertwined, just by focusing on breathing (rhythms of expansion and contraction), maintaining balance and striking (expansion and contraction) from and towards some center of the body... it gives a physicalized approach to basic abstractions.

Can shatter clay bricks and coconut with a simple 20 inche wooden stick (something softer than bone) because of it, with little to no effort.
