Not in that exact same terminology but Yes that is roughly what I am saying. I can SEE that there is a belief here. Whether that VIEW is right or wrong is another matter, which the answer could come to light through honest discourse.
Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?

See, you don't deserve politeness... and your nonduality comes and goes, perhaps dependent on your daily medication, which you evidently forgot to take today.![]()
Bullshit is like that.
Who exactly do you think you're talking about? It sounds like you've just described yourself -- considering how inconsistent your nonduality is, and how intolerant and dishonest you become when faced with feedback and other perspectives.
You will never understand Nonduality.
We are never, ever, never, ever, going to understand each other or play the get-a-long-gang game.
Goodbye.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aumann%27 ... nt_theorem
The fact that you believe you can't agree with another person simply speaks to your lack of rationality. In game theory, Aumann's agreement theorem is a theorem which demonstrates that rational agents with common knowledge of each other's beliefs cannot agree to disagree.
I understand non-dualism just fine. You are a dualist desperately trying to feign nondualism.

Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?
People are genuinely being honest, they can only communicate what they personally know and understand from their own experience, even when they are throwing insults and what-nots at each other in a two way discussion, they are still being their true genuine self, how could they be any different than how they in the moment present their view?Age wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 6:18 amNot in that exact same terminology but Yes that is roughly what I am saying. To claim there is such a being as an honest person implies there can be a dishonest person...so how would you know who is being honest or not or whether they would be right or wrong about what they are presenting as a view point without there being a belief involved on your part to be able to SEE the difference?
To announce a particular view has the capacity to be right or wrong is another matter would require a belief also. So back to the question, how can you tell is someone is being honest or not without a belief involved?
See my last post to you which talks about projection, and that projection is a two way mirror...don't forget to address that one.
And also don't forget to address the my post to you about the human being taking a dump on the pavement in full view of other people.

Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?
Reality is irrational, I own it, so I have no argument with you or anyone.
If you want rationality, argue with yourself, you'll get 100% better results everytime.

I really don't give a festering fuck what you think about you.
I'm just singing my song like the rest of I's
Stop throwing stones at the mirror you'll end up with a distorted view of things.

External locus of control
Reality is reality. However it is and whatever it is.
Rationality is a property that describes humans. Not reality.
No. You don't 'own it'. You are externalizing it.
Thus you display total lack of understanding of the theorem. I argue with people at the office all day. We sure disagree on the finer details, but ultimately - consensus is reached and decisions are made.
Imagine that. All these "irrational people" agreeing!

I already have a bunch of mirrors.
If you think you are a mirror - you are already cracked.

Re: Why humans can't get rid of their egos ?
You aren't supposed to "take it". You are supposed to process it and make adjustments based on the valid feedback, and provide counter-feedback on the invalid feedback.
Seems like you consider all feedback to be invalid yet you provide no counter-feedback hence you are sabotaging rational discourse.

There comes a time when one just has to walk away from an irrational person.
Try it sometimes, it's very enlightening.
I can choose who I was to discuss with and Lacewing is now off my list.
Get over it.
