Do you think you know that the Moon exists?

Is the mind the same as the body? What is consciousness? Can machines have it?

Do you respect yourself?
If yes, then you have to respect everything!
Your conception of respect is bullshit. A false dichotomy.

If there is no difference in practice - I neither respect nor disrespect myself.

I am a-respectful towards myself.

It is astonishing to see how many philosophical disputes collapse into insignificance the moment you subject them to this simple test of tracing a concrete consequence. There can be no difference anywhere that doesn't make a difference elsewhere—no difference in abstract truth that doesn't express itself in a difference in concrete fact and in conduct consequent upon that fact, imposed on somebody, somehow, somewhere and some-when. The whole function of philosophy ought to be to find out what definite difference it will make to you and me, at definite instants of our life, if this world-formula or that world-formula be the true one.

If you don’t see any difference you must be blind...
Well, maybe you are... you don’t know your self so how could you respect it...

If you can't demonstrate a difference that I can see you must be deluded.

Lets not devolve this into ad hominems? I think it's time for you to introspect?

Do you know it? Yes or no?

Do you think you know that the Moon exists?

Yes, the Moon is known, it's a concept known.

Equivocation. In context of the map-territory distinction there is an object in your map that you call "The Moon".

You can express it in logic as M or any other symbol.

Do you know anything about M?

Yes, I know a thing about M ... I know M as a concept, a thing.

That is implicit. Given that you have assigned a symbol to it.

M <---this thing represents the concept in your head.

Can you think of a symbol without a corresponding concept?

No...because thoughts are things / concepts.

So if all thoughts are concepts.
And all concepts can be assigned a symbol.
And you can't think of a symbol without a corresponding concept.
Then it's fair to say that all thoughts/concepts are symbols and all symbols are thoughts/concepts.

M is a symbol, therefore it's also a concept.

So far we are still in the realm of deductive truisms.

What makes it knowledge?

By BEING PRESENT.

This is known in being.

It's not a someone that knows, you are the knowing, that cannot be known.

Ah well. So close to abandoning the religion of gnosticism yet so far.
