Actually we may not be sitting ducks at all. If consciousness stems from space and through space, evidenced by "⊙" as a symbol, the human soul may in fact be immortal. Suffering may just be a form of growth by inverting nothingness into being.

The complexity of a system can be quantified and measured, so I wouldn't quite call it subjective.

If we totally understood the universe, we would say that we are intelligent enough to understand things as complex as the universe.

What would also be true is that we (the understanders of the complex universe) would be more complex than the universe itself.
