Universe can't be infinite.

So what's really going on?

What? Lol.

I am arguing that the question "Does the universe exist?" is undecidable! It's stupid to even ask it!
It's metaphysical bullshit!
Nothing is 'bullshit' and not nothing is 'bullshit' - never belittle the faculties of comprehension that you have.

The universe exists. Your turn.

For example here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit the word "distinction" isn't even mentioned.

Yes, 0 and 1 are different, these are the two values, it's a distinction. Which doesn't mean that 1 bit is enough for "Am I thirsty?".
*yawn*.

The question is "Am I thirsty?"

Hypothesis 1: Atla is thirsty
Hypothesis 2: Atla is not thirsty.

Here is one mechanism YOU can use to answer the question: flip a coin!
Another way you can answer the question is to search, "deep within your soul" for that feeling you call "thirst".

And if it's there - then the answer is "Yes!".
If the feeling is not there - then the answer is "No!"

How many bits describe a feeling? I don't fucking know any more than you do!

The fact that you have answered "I am (not) thirsty!" means you have acquired 1 bit of information.

OK. Gedankenexperiment.

Suppose that the universe didn't exist. What would you observe then?

I shouldn't have been so nasty to Greylorn, because if my memory serves me, he is one of the 'binary universe' opinion..which I agree with, simply because, again, at its most finite point, either an event happens or it dunt. Binary.

Sweet FA. So it does exist, since it is observable and us c~nts call it a universe.

Can you describe "sweet FA" to me?

What would you be smelling, hearing, tasting, touching or feeling?

Like i said above - but you posted too quick cos you timseek.... it does exist, since it is observable and us c~nts call it a universe. And us c~nts feel it with our 5 senses.

Oh and FA means Fuck All.

So we need a mind / a soul / a part of a human or whatever. We need a language, we need a question, which we know is a strictly yes/no distinction. Etc.

And THEN we can make the abstraction that we acquired 1 bit of information.
But actually we also used all the above in the process.

OK, well. I am of the opinion that it doesn't. And if you feel so strongly about it you will give me examples.

You know - evidence.

I mean - I have never seen a universe. Have you?

Sure. The thing that constitutes the first experiences of the universe.

So what are you experiencing if there is nothing to experience?

Sub atomic matter - beyond my consciousness that relays to said consciousness information about the external substance to said consciousness, that which pertains to the universe.

So atomic matter is "Sweet FA" ?

And you still speak of this "universe" thing! Show me some evidence for it!

No, you stated "Suppose that the universe didn't exist. What would you observe then?

I replied Sweet Fuck All (Sweet FA) - I never said the universe didn't exist - that's your side dude. If it didn't somehow I feel rather strongly that this debate would not occur.

OK, but when I asked you to descibe the experience of "Sweet FA" you used sub-atomic particle as your example.

That's not "Sweet FA", that's sub-atomic particles!

It's the stuff everything is made of!
