Veggie,
I don't think I understand what PC hypocrisy is. I couldn't find articles that defined it.
Rather, there were comments about PC hypocrisy, but not saying what PC hypocrisy is.
An internet search revealed this:
Political correctness is a postmodern virtue.
http://www.bpnews.net/20133/firstperson ... e-pc-crowd
And this:
If one believes he or she is being “politically correct” that is quite simply a declaration of hypocrisy.
https://www.dailyprogress.com/newsvirgi ... bd829.html
And this:
In every instance [of PC], there is a degree of hypocrisy in it.
https://dyske.com/paper/1200
And from Wikipedia:
The page "PC hypocrisy" does not exist. You can ask for it to be created
You are familiar with the term. Can you shed light on what PC hypocrisy actually is?

Vietnamese? Whose country you had no right to be in at all? Or were you a vet, tending to the dying and homeless animals that previously inhabited the pristine jungles you poisoned?commonsense wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 5:55 pmvegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 11:37 pm Are you really that thick? Re: Political correctness and snowflake generation
I don't separate the two. PC is hypocritical by definition. You can't be PC without being a hypocrite, just as someone can't be religious without being superstitious. There is a world of difference between being genuinely against racisim, and being 'PChypocrite' against racism. Genuine people are sure enough of themselves and their position that they have no need to go over the top and 'project' onto others (because there's nothing to project). PChypocrites will latch onto any position that is fashionable at any given time. They are the same people who would be chanting at Nuremburg rallies. Fashionably PC these days is to feign deep concern for the Palestinian cause. We know this is hypocrisy because those same people are completely silent on the destruction that the US and its bitches continue to wreak in the ME. You won't hear them criticising your military because they are essentially cowards who won't do anything that might risk harm or embarrassment to themselves. They are mob creaturescommonsense wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 6:31 pm Veggie,

Interesting links. Thanks. I thought this analogy was pretty good:
''Some people are vegetarians because they simply don’t like meat. My mother is like that. I’ve never heard her call herself “vegetarian.” If she had to eat meat just to be polite, she would force herself to eat it. There is no sense of correctness in her because she is not trying to be correct. Likewise, people who naturally treat everyone equally don’t think of it in terms of correct or incorrect. For many of them, that is just how they grew up.
If something does not come naturally to us, it’s counter productive to pretend to be otherwise because pretension will lead to repression, which in turn will lead to neurosis and sadistic perversion.''
''If I wanted someone to know what it’s like to be a target of political correctness, I could follow him around everywhere pointing out every little thing he does or says which is logically and politically wrong, benevolent or otherwise. I could derive pleasure from seeing him squirm in shame. It would make me feel superior, as if I have no prejudice. This is precisely the problem with political correctness; it’s a form of sadistic perversion.''

VEGGIE!!!
DID YOU SAY THIS???
Genuine people are sure enough of themselves and their position that they have no need to go over the top and 'project' onto others (because there's nothing to project). PChypocrites will latch onto any position that is fashionable at any given time.
I think you have just answered your own rant mate and summed up your self there...all you have done is to go over the top and project your opinions on us, without, the slightest thought that next man's opinion is just as equal as yours...that's why us genuine people can see that this is just you latching on to the PC SNOWFLAKE FAD THAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING.. because you haven't really anything worth fighting for of your own.. following like a sheep..
In fact i have decided that is your new name. VEGGIESHEEP!

And you are a moron with no reading comprehension skills whatsoever. I was simply explaining to commonsense what PC means. You are so unbelievably stupid that you keep taking my meaning as the exact opposite of what I'm saying. Piss off and go and study how to use the quote function.Davyboi wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 9:32 pm VEGGIE!!!

Re: Political correctness and snowflake generation
One example. My original comment on here:
''Oh please. Who is 'offended'? Stop being 'offended' 'on behalf of' others.
Apu is a 'racist stereotype' because he is brown, like most Indians tend to be, and he speaks with an Indian accent (which Indians who have English as a second language tend to do)?? PCturds are so racist, they think that portraying a brown person as brown is 'offensive and insulting'. How racist and insulting is that? They are so up themselves that with a bit of luck they will eventually disappear up their own arses.
I think I loathe PCturd hypocrites more than anyone else on the planet. AAAAGGHHHH!''
Your reponse to it:
''What a lot of crap! How is APU a racist character? The Simpsons is built on stereotyping, every character is a stereotype! If you had the brains to understand the program you would realise this! So what, a certain minority of people are offended, AND? suddenly Apu isn't to be part of the show? It's an insult!''
And you have been a piece of shit ever since, even though I was actually AGREEING with you from the outset.
