Thank you, veterans
Thanks especially to those who lost a limb or lost someone close to them in warfare. Thanks especially to those whose actions were above and beyond. Deepest thanks to any who were injured or fell ill. Thanks especially to anyone who suffered great hardship or who served in combat. A special thank you to those who have had to endure long and distant separations from family and loved ones. Thanks to every soldier, airman, marine and sailor who keeps me safe at home.

How do they keep you 'safe'? It's OTHER people who aren't safe from YOUR 'heroes'. Shove your moronic nationalistic sheeple crap.

I notice your logical proposition lacks an assertion. It's a stupid cliche. Germans still speak German. Japanese still speak Japanese. Now the US is trying to turn the whole planet into the US--that's a pretty repulsive prospect.TimeSeeker wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 10:10 amI notice your logical proposition lacks an assertion. Yeah but the French, Belgians, Danish, Dutch, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Romanians and a bunch of other European countries DON'T speak German. See the blue on the map.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 11:13 am It's a stupid cliche. Germans still speak German. Japanese still speak Japanese.
Nor does the east coast of China speak Japanese.
You only seem to care about your side of the coin.

Do you have a point? The Germans people were as stupid, warmongering and credulous as you are.TimeSeeker wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 12:28 pmYeah but the French, Belgians, Danish, Dutch, Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Romanians and a bunch of other European countries DON'T speak German. My point is that you don't have a point.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 5:48 pm Do you have a point? The Germans people were as stupid, warmongering and credulous as you are.
You are condemning both sides of the conflict. What exactly do you propose one does when their country is invaded by a foreign army?

How often has the US been invaded by a foreign army? It's attacking other countries all the time. Perhaps you think the whole world should have gone to war after the US invaded Iraq. I am sure that would have helped Iraq and its people no end.TimeSeeker wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 6:50 pmMy point is that you don't have a point.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 5:48 pm Do you have a point? WW1 was over nothing more than a squabble between a couple of spoilt royal cousins.
As for 'invading someone's country'. Isn't that a bit racist? Aren't we all supposed to be welcoming our fellow humans with open arms? That's what our dear friends the ''PCProgressives'' tell us when anyone objects to immigrant invasions. What's the difference?
And people always drag out the 'what about Hitler?' argument. BY FAR the worst thing about the Nazis was their murderous rampage againstJews and anyone else they deemed 'inferior', yet that wasn't what WW11 was about. Churchill was well aware of the death camps but chose to do nothing about them. The Nazis were free to carry out genocide when stopping that part of Nazism should have been the main priority. Instead, the English spitefully flattened German cities, including one that was considered one of the wonders of the modern world for its beauty.
Even after the war Jews were shunned, many with nowhere to go and their families murdered. Russian soldiers raped women who had been freed from concentration camps. French mobs went berserk and puplicly tortured any woman they could get their hands on, accusing them of 'collaborating with Germans' (often to cover up their own guilt while indulging their misogynistic fantasies).

Why do you only focus on the US? About 20 countries pay tribute to their veterans today.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:13 pm How often has the US been invaded by a foreign army? I loathe 'remembrance day'. It's a load of war-glorifying shite, and it's very disturbing how it seems to snowball every year--lots of money being spent behind the scenes by those with a vested interest in war promotion.TimeSeeker wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:37 pmWhy do you only focus on the US? Re: Thank you, veterans
You were the one suggesting that world wars are justified when one country invades another. The US is an obvious example. How many world wars would there have been since WW11 if we had one every time the US invaded a country? Hmm?TimeSeeker wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:37 pmWhy do you only focus on the US? I suggested that? I asked you what you would do if your country was invaded by a foreign army.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:45 pm You were the one suggesting that world wars are justified when one country invades another.
You don't really know what you are arguing for. Do you? At first you condemn the USA for invading other countries, now you are happy that nobody jumped to the invaded countries' rescue because it would start a world war.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:45 pm How many world wars would there have been since WW11 if we had one every time the US invaded a country?
