We should embrace Diversity

Post by philosopher »

Cultural, religious, scientific, political and national diversity - and all sorts of other diversities (genetic, as well as personal diverity) are all diversities we should embrace. Only then can we have a tolerant, peaceful and harmonious society.

The problem with some cultures, religions etc. is that they use force to convert, circumcise or otherwise try to get rid of diversity in order to make everyone conform to the same "ideal".

Conversion to any belief system or circumcision or other traditions should be completely voluntary. It should never be forced upon children either. They too should have the freedom of choice. Yes, children should have the freedom to say no to go to church or become circumcised or even celebrate Christmas.

There is no reason why conformity should be forced upon any people.

Diversity is important, we know that scientifically, this is evident in Evolution: Genetic diversity is important because it creates a vast number of features, pros and cons in life and not the strongest but the most adaptable genes in relation to its environment will be selected. This is good, because it means life forms can persist and evolve even during extreme environmental conditions.

If I was God, and if I wanted to create life, I would:

* Create the conditions neccessary for life naturally, so that the life can adapt and evolve over billions of years. Life is too fragile if it is to be created by intelligent design.

* I would make my subjects talk different languages and have differing cultures and opinions so nobody can spread propaganda and conform all people at once.

* I would implement free-choice of good & evil, so nobody can understand what is good and what is evil. Though, I would tell people that evil is conformity against the will of the subjects. Forced conformity is the only thing I would ban.

Thou Shalt Not Conform Thy People!

The Bible actually makes it very clear:
Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Out of many, one.

Imagine! Circumcising diversity makes everyone conform.

And now, for something completely different.

Heck, no. Even penises are unequal, hugely different, should I say diverse after circumcision. Diversity shalt not become any different by circumcision by the authorities.

Actually, it's humans hating each other that creates the 'diversity' that you so nauseatingly gush over. Groups don't 'assimilate', which is why we have 'groups'. Duh!
ps. Are you prepared to 'assimilate' with the low-life family down the street, or the one with completely different values/politics/mind-set from yours, and invite them to share your home?
For instance, I could never be friends with a right-wing 'neo-liberal' 'libertaritard' type. I just can't stand them. Why would I want to be friends with someone who is that nasty, unempathetic and self-centred? I certainly don't 'embrace them for their 'differences' '. I couldn't be friends with a fundy religious nut either--of any persuasion-- and they generally hate so-called 'atheists' too. Isn't it normal to want to be friends with those who are similar to yourself?

No one 'embraces diversity'. That's just a revolting PC''Progressive'' expression used as a political tool to manipulate and 'shame' others into silence (like their abuse and mis-use of the 'r' word).

Btw, I wonder what (if anything) the PC"Progressive'' Salem-hysteria witch-hunters have to say about their Saint JFK, and his relentless abuse of his power with regard to innocent and vulnerable women. He was diabolically insatiable-- not to mention a bungling warmonger.
Why aren't there hoards of shrieking, foaming-at-the-mouth ''PCProgressive'' protestors at his many memorials, wanting to tear down his statues and demanding the renaming of airports etc. that are named after him?
Oh, and should I 'embrace the differences' of a culture that favours male babies over female, and where a large number of abortions are carried out because the foetus is the 'wrong' gender? Like hell I will. They can get fucked.

pps. We can find 'diversity' interesting, but that doesn't mean we have to 'embrace' those we have nothing in common with.
Kindly don't tell me who I 'should' or 'shouldn't' like (or want to 'embrace').

Now run along and stop being such a hypocrite.
