Experience is personal. Assumption is presumptiuous.
Yes we do overassume! I have met countless people who think they know everything, or atleast enough to think they do.
They are exhausting. They easily dismiss anythng out of the ordinary. They play gods of knowledge. They prey on knowledge like ancient priests did on religion. Truth is they know nothing. They just think they do.

People often jump to conclusions on the basis of faulty assumptions. If only careful thinking and investigation were done.
