Leap of Insanity
Leap of Insanity
In order to see religion as believable , one needs to do the leap of insanity . To go from the real world into mythology ignorance and madness .There is no proof for heaven or god in the real world , so one is asked to leave the real world and leap into insanity . Into a world where fantasy and mythology rule , the impossible is then seen as the truth . In reality these things are laughed at as seen as at best wishful thinking , or just plain insane . The probability of such a thing being real is extremely unlikely , evolution is extremely likely to be reality . So how ? why ? do governments still fund and protect something that is clearly not real . Religion is the biggest and oldest scam on the planet , the most successful by far , governments still today are being sucked in by the ignorance . If we were to rate the mental well being of planet Earth right now , STARK RAVING MAD

Yes. We are making this all up.Godfree wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 10:08 am In order to see religion as believable , one needs to do the leap of insanity . When we are born onto the planet and begin exploring the world as little children, we notice all sorts of fascinating and horrific things that are going on... and there are no gods. I remember when my mother started taking me to church, and suddenly claimed that she believed all of it. I saw her pretend. I watched the adults and thought they were acting crazy. I hid under the bench. It was THEIR creation. I did not like it and I did not want to be there. Of course, I had no choice. Over time, I HAD to fit in. If I didn't, they would direct more attention to me. If I didn't fall in line, I would be viewed and called-out as evil. I convinced myself that this is who I had to be... even if deep down, it didn't feel real to me. I used the experience to learn to question and search beyond what people say and are told. It propelled me to be an explorer of ideas and potential... and WOW, what an experience it has been.
We humans can spin up so much stuff, that we wrap ourselves so completely in. It's ALL "crazy" to some extent because ultimately it's ONLY a product of our human ideas... but we pretend it is so much more. I try to have compassion for our fear and need -- it's hard navigating this world, and not being completely smothered and deluded by it. The constant insane bombardment is amazing. I try to appreciate the creativity of that. I don't believe any of it. I'm here to see what I can create too.
So, yes, there are scams going on everywhere... and organizations supporting those scams because they need the support that comes from those scans, and it's all really ridiculous. What can we create and experience as individuals... free of all the stories and expectations? That's what I like to focus on. There is so much here... naturally vibrating -- and to tap into that, harmonize with it, brings a sense of peace and perfection that no human stories can manifest despite their demanding and relentless fury to attempt to do so. The noise of humans is deafening, and their creations are blinding. Fascinating! Quite an amazing "game experience"... of finding treasures amidst all the commotion.

I'm agnostic.
My atheist, or logical, side concludes that there cannot be proof of the existence of a god. Therefore there can be no god.
My theist, or belief, side feels that faith is sufficient to affirm that God exists.
Thought v belief, conclusion v faith, logic v feeling -- these are the conflicts that leave me on the fence.
