Is the term "redneck" politically correct ?

Today farmers drive huge air-conditioned combines (as I saw on TV) and don´t have to expose their body to the sun.

But is the term politically correct ?
Someone who works hard should not be made fun of.
Kain was the first person who worked hard in the fields, together with his mother Eve, while his brother Able was a shepard and had a less hard life that way. Adam was also a shepard.

2. To define or explain what the term 'redneck' means.

But why would anyone want to do that ?

I remember asking a native Canadian what a redneck was, he expained that it was a farmer working in the fields. White skin gets red if exposed too much to the sun. Australians are worried about it more and more.

Politically correct means that we do not offend other people´s feelings because they belong to certain social groups and they should not suffer for bad behavior of other members of these groups. (a definition made by myself just now)

Dicionaries use empirical material which they get from interviewing people, that´s what I suppose.

The first part of your definition is warm, but the second is nothing to do with political correctness. PC is an ironic term. The PC are about controlling everyone else's words and thoughts. The PC part is in the tactics and methodology. And if a 'group' is not allowed to be 'offended', then the 'offence' should also come from a 'group' instead of stifling and oppressing individual members of the public into being scared to say anything unless it passes muster with the PC (who are hypocrites by definition). And no, the PC don't give a damn about Canadian farmers. They aren't part of a 'protected group'.
F*x is an excellent case in point. She's the first undiluted example of the species I've seen on here. A fascinating study. She uses typically PC/SJW (the most rabid and distilled form of the species) tactics in pretty much everything she posts. Only she knows what is morally correct. She is so morally superior that she gets to decide what others are allowed to say (notwithstanding the fact that she is allowed to say the same things, but that's because she is 'morally sound' so it doesn't count).

It can be used by any thinking person who doesn't like being told what they are allowed to think or say by those who consider themselves to be the moral standard-bearers of the planet. I would imagine it would be liberals who possibly use it the most. Liberals? Those people who believe in free speech? If the American 'conservatives' are using it to refer to global warming then yet another useful term is going the way of the large dinosaurs because of its use by those who don't understand what it means.
As far as your quote goes, the fashionably PC position at this time seems to be an anti-Israel one for some reason. So they would have been silent when someone 'came for the Jews' anyway. It's an expression the right use because they don't like the idea that it's unacceptable to use language that a minority might well find offensive about themselves. Now I get that you don't like the way it's been extended to include many other groups but that's language use for you. Me, I like it that social pressure has kept the racists, homophobes, et al quieter in the streets, pubs and clubs and I like it that my kids are more accepting of others differences than my generation were.
