And yet, eager to assert thoughtless opinions. Fascinating.
Trump is merely fulfilling campaign promises at an impressive pace, much to the befuddlement of folks used to lying politicians who speak with soaring bullshit rhetoric.
What happened to democracy?
He has not consulted or even referenced Congress. Did you want a KIng in the USA?
Hardly. He’s a populist president. It's the Progressives who worship the trappings and abuse of power. Note that the last president abused his personal expense account, paid for by confiscation of taxes, to the tune of $100 million in vacations alone. Excuse me while I vomit.
There. That’s better.
Trump is simply reaffirming laws on the books and pointing to the emphasis of his administration’s intent, which is no mystery. It was promised. It was why he was elected, and why Obama’s legacy was denounced by the voters. Trump is lancing boils so old that they are necrotizing the healthy efforts of well-intentioned people who want to do some good with their efforts in life, take care of the children, and put food on the table.
Trump is laying the groundwork to drain the swamp of what festers there, and he’s moving fast. Shock and awe for the toads and gators before they evolve their defenses to his tactics.
For the past eight years many laws representing the will of the people have been picked over, to be enforced or ignored according to whims and other mysteries, such as untraceable cash payoffs to one terrorist nation that we know of, suspected gun-running to Syria through Libya, and all the other nasty little projects that received scant attention at the time of infraction. Example: sanctuary cities ignore the laws. Example: Not building the wall ignores the law but also the oath of office. Many other corruptions of the office with a wink and a nod.
“Guess those jobs weren’t so shovel ready after all, chuckle chuckle.”
One of the duties of the executive branch is to implement and enforce the laws established by the legislative branch, according to the oath of office.
Previous POTUS threw a last-minute binge of regulations, probably figuring that in all the excitement and misdirection one or two would slip unnoticed through the blitz of authority abuse, such as last minute federal land grabs in the western US. No doubt Trump has delegated a review of this childish abuse of power, along with someone to count the silverware in the White House. Can’t do much about the last-minute Kingly pardons and the silent denouncement of Israel in the UN.
I don’t think TPP ever had Congressional approval, so that was already hashed through Congress. Like the totally progressive-partisan Obamacare, TPP was just something else Obama was trying to cram down the throat of the American people. Right or wrong, Trump favors bilateral trade agreements, so TPP is simply not getting any more attention. Why should it. Because Obama wanted to go against the will of the people? It’s not Trump’s job to carry on the legacy of Obama's whims and notions. That would have been Clinton’s job, but the people wisely chose not to elect a criminal.
Trump retained the same FBI director. Doesn’t bode well for team Clinton.
The cancer of Obamacare will be much more difficult to excise, for it’s not a solid, isolate mass of ineptitude and legislative-Frankenstein-cobbling. Rather, it’s like a brain tumor with tendrils threading through the healthy tissue of society like a spider web of financial destruction, personal data gathering, and lies.
Here’s some intelligent criticism of Trump’s isolationist
America First slogan to consider.
