That's really funny. What would be the point of being "hateful" to something so irrational, so vain and ultimately, so tame? There's nothing to hate! Atheism's all so futile. If you're right, you'll never know...and if I'm right, we'll both know. What have I got to lose? 8)

Anyway, you're an Atheist, remember?

You don't believe in evil. You also don't believe that being "hateful" can be "wrong." These words have no objective truthfulness in your worldview.

So why are you trying to reclaim these concepts now?

Because you know you're blowing smoke, that's why.

Incorrect. Once again, lack of erudition has betrayed you.

Go look up "eugenics." You'll learn wondrous truths.
'Eugenics' has nothing to do with natural selection; in fact it's unnatural selection. Look it up.

Eugenics has everything to do with selective breeding. You should have looked it up before you replied. :)

"The fool has said in His heart, 'There is no God.' " (Psalm 14:1)

That's the best definition you'll find. :D

Sad that you don't know what natural selection means. You should stop before you reveal any more of your ignorance.

That's not a definition. So, you are not just science illiterate.

"The fool has said in His heart, 'There is no God.' "
Like children, fools are not usually inhibited to speak the truth directly. In this case he said it in his heart knowing it would be foolish to speak the truth outright and its certain consequences.

These are not the same fools who still believe in a long debunked Jewish story from two and three thousand years ago during ages so different it may as well have been on a different planet.

...evidently not much remains in the theistic arsenal except wishful thinking desperate for some wish fulfillment.

That's a fool, you idiot. An atheist says 'I do not believe there is a god.'
Say a little prayer and ask your god to grant you the wisdom to finally see the difference.

It appears that you are failing on that point.
What? All of us? That's a rather sweeping statement, doc. Do you have any statistics to support that view?

In other words you just can't think of a snappy comeback, I'm really disappointed with you.
That was the snappy comeback. I'm sorry if it was a bit too subtle for you to appreciate but if I dumb everything down just for you it will spoil it for everyone else.

Did you know Freud works just as well for Atheism as a critique of Theism? (He actually works very poorly for either, but I'm going to play along with the prejudice here). It's in his book Totem and Taboo.

It turns out that if religion is just the "wish-fulfillment" for a Divine "Father," then it turns out that Atheism is just the "Oedipal wish-fulfillment fantasy" to kill the Father...and with all of the rest of the Oedipal stuff thrown in.

I didn't say it...Freud did. :D

So take both arguments, or take neither. But if you want to say we ought to believe Freud, you've got to take both.

Freud! now you're really clutching at straws. :D

I preferred Clement, Sigmund was almost as crazy as you.

Just to remind you, Mr Can, atheists don't believe in the father.

Hey, I didn't do it...Dubie did. 8) I said I thought Freud's arguments were thin both ways.

there is a book by douglas axe that gets into the science of intelligent design.
Evolution has not found one transitional species and proven a link to human ancestry. It is inferred philosophically.
I myself know creationism is fallacy and this is not reason to believe in evolution.

You picked up the ball and ran with it so it's a legitimate tackle.
