One of the advantages of the electric car is that it is so quiet, now the government is taking that away, it's like they are trying to destroy any advantage and make the electric car just as bad as the gas powered car. I have already raised questions about the source of the electricity used to recharge the electric cars, no-one seems to be able to answer that question.Philosophy Explorer wrote:It shows how concerned people are regarding safety who are very sensitive. It seems there may be several different sources, according to which article you read. One source could be a power-charging station or your home, but I'm sure you mean the ultimate source. I'll keep my eyes open.thedoc wrote:One of the advantages of the electric car is that it is so quiet, now the government is taking that away, it's like they are trying to destroy any advantage and make the electric car just as bad as the gas powered car. Yes, I'm referring to the ultimate source, which could be a coal burning plant, and that would change the complexion of the electric car, as a clean source of transportation.Philosophy Explorer wrote:It seems there may be several different sources, according to which article you read. Off the top of my head, I know some countries are committed to a definite date to eliminate coal burning (which for other members doesn't mean that the usage of coal will be eliminated). This will require further research.thedoc wrote:Yes, I'm referring to the ultimate source, which could be a coal burning plant, and that would change the complexion of the electric car, as a clean source of transportation.Philosophy Explorer wrote:It seems there may be several different sources, according to which article you read.
