In the USofA, a more diverse distribution of demented voters would be required to affect the EC results.Lacewing wrote:Odd that it won't prevent a person from being elected president of a country.
In case clarification is needed: I'm saying that I think Trump has dementia (not his supporters). I've thought so since the beginning of his campaign. And that, combined with his 5th grade mentality, would really seem to be a double-whammy. Then when you add on his hateful and divisive rhetoric, it would seem certain that such things could never be ignored by theists, and that he would never be chosen as a "leader". Yet, here we are, inexplicably... in some sort of nightmarish cartoon that shows us more clearly who we are.Walker wrote:In the USofA, a more diverse distribution of demented voters would be required to affect the EC results.Lacewing wrote:Odd that it won't prevent a person from being elected president of a country.
It didn't seem to bother Americans unduly that Bush Jr. destroyed the world, so I don't really know what all the fuss is about. Reagan had Alzheimers in office. No one there noticed. The worst thing about Trump is who he's giving the top jobs to. I would be very worried about him dying before his term is up. You have creationists and various other retarded nut-jobs galore about to run the asylum. Trump is a red-herring. Pence is the scary one.Lacewing wrote:In case clarification is needed: I'm saying that I think Trump has dementia (not his supporters). I've thought so since the beginning of his campaign. Not me. I have seen too much octogenarian suffering to fancy that lifespan.Hobbes' Choice wrote:That's pretty out of date now.Greta wrote:IFrom what I've seen, the best time to go is often in one's 70s. Around "three score and ten" is still a gold standard lifespan as far as I can tell.
All western countries averages are way above that, and once achieving 70 most can expect at least another 15 good years. Some of the most interesting people I know are over 80.
Dad was a very determined kind of character but I think that if he could come back and give a verdict of his life, he'd say that his 80s truly sucked. It was a period of enormous loss and pain.Hobbes' Choice wrote:How did he feel about being over 80?Dad did manage some very good years in his 70s that Mum missed out on, but his 80s largely, and increasingly, sucked.
I have found as I've gotten older that the women gotten turned on to me more which I attribute to maturity. I shudder to think what happens when I reach 80.Greta wrote:Not me. I don't trust mice studies as the odds are over 10 to 1 against the results being duplicated in human clinical trials. Good luck to you.duszek wrote:I heard that curcuma has been proved to destroy the plaques in brains of mice.
The problem is how to get curcuma to the brain, it does not dissolve in water.
Why curcuma was able to get to the mouse brain I don´t remember.
I eat a lot of curcuma and swallow curcumin capsules to see if the benign growths on my skin will disappear.
The capsules have been able to remove growths in intestines of many happy patients so I thought that I can observe what happens on my skin.
Perhaps the capsules will also remove plaques in my brain and I will become more bright.
Then you will be able to notice it here too, I suppose ...
Have you tried Tea Tree Oil? I used it on a couple of small moles, and they're completely gone now. Twice a day to saturate them, for 3 days, then a day of rest, then repeat the process as needed. It didn't take long.duszek wrote:I eat a lot of curcuma and swallow curcumin capsules to see if the benign growths on my skin will disappear.
Wow, two 'gottens' in one sentence. How did Americans manage to make the language so ugly?Philosophy Explorer wrote:I have found as I've gotten older that the women gotten turned on to me more which I attribute to maturity. Yes 'gotten' is a grammatical redundancy.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Wow, two 'gottens' in one sentence. And I've noticed an increase in the use of 'snuck' by seemingly normal people who think it's the past participle of 'sneak'. Now that Americans are making baby-talk an acceptable part of adult language, perhaps we will start hearing 'bow-wow' and 'moo-moo' in the mainstream too.Hobbes' Choice wrote: Yes 'gotten' is a grammatical redundancy.
I saw the use of 'yous' the other day; a plurality of 'you'. ugly but could be useful.
