Yep, Adelaide and probably most of South Australia lost electricity for about 5 hrs - though reports were aiming for 0500 am (from 1600).
It was raining cats and dogs and they appeared to have tazers since a sub-station or something got hit and knocked SA and most of my afternoon evening plans to bits. Hence no VR, just me and a mate sipping beers with two candles - not fourcandles that i asked for at the local shop with no appreciation - apart from an old lady that nodded like 'yes these kids missed all that' (the Ronnies for those that missed all that).
I had a mini ipod on and had a swing around the front room with the candlelight, it was more romantic because my mate had left an hour ago, when i noticed the clouds in the distance light up. So although i was enlightened that there was going to be some enlightenment soon, i still would not forget the reminiscence (yes i travel through time using fetuses that form me) of 17th century life - (apart from my S2 old school smart phone ruining the occasion)
But onto politics of it all - HEADS BETTER BLOODY ROLL !!!
Adelaide is pretty much reliant on a the VICs for electrons - its disgusting!
