The greatest fight is the one with your mind. Mind is the medium. At the same time it is the barrier also. We are locked in our minds. If you wanna get out of it, still have to use mind. Its like stepping on a sticky glue. Adhesive doesn't stick to itself but it sticks to all other objects. Whatever we see, we hear, we touch, mind stands as the medium in between. Mind can be controlled. But it never goes off. It persists. The most difficult thing a man can do is to overpower his own mind. Once the limits of mind are crossed, limitless power comes to you.

Never heard of Marcus Garvey until your post. Someone worth knowing about and evidently a 'preparer of the way' for the likes of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King. If all of these individuals are granted their historical due, it would read like a Black Reformation movement only secular.
