Well then in that case why not either restrict his posts to The Lounge or simply go ahead and permaban him
But as he has been here for almost nine years you do seem to be taking an awful long time to get rid of him

I can't speak for the staff. Deleting his posts could restrict him to the Lounge. And he was banned once already for a couple of months which is his history here. It's a certainty he's on probation and what happens next is anybody's guess.surreptitious57 wrote:Well then in that case why not either restrict his posts to The Lounge or simply go ahead and permaban him

I am in spirit a hippie and so do not think that the solution to a problem is
through violence as I much prefer reason as a means to conflict resolution

Philosophy literally means, Love of wisdom.
I have devoted my life to the love of philosophy.
Why would you think that you would even be able to begin to understand me?

Everything in life is not just about reward. It is about the realization of the truth -who we are and why we are here, and to finally realize that we cannot get freedom from action, but rather, we must have freedom in action. Therefore, every morning when we wake up, we do something, but are we doing things that liberate us or are we doing things that keep us attached?

I had a moment in my life where I practiced detachment successfully...for a while.
The period culminated in an experience that to this day I am unable to even begin to express.
Detachment is important in the consciousness of a human - philosophically.
There is a good reason that in philosophical vernacular ecstasy is defined as detachment or to stand outside of ones self.

"Bill...should be free to express himself exactly how he wishes"
Sure, as long he ain't stealin' another man's work and passin' it off as his own, as he did with this...

I used to say Bill was a harmless, garden-variety nutjob, but now I know he's a thief and liar.
I used to say tussle with him or ignore him, but don't ban him.
Now, I think his thievin' ass should be expelled permanently.
