When it comes to the love of philosophy; the love of truth, we are all equal & we are all equally beggars.
In the realm of philosophy the alcoholic & the academic are all equal and all equally relevant.
You search with your mind but in the end it comes down to intuition, luck, and one's ability to face fear.

The awful grammar and punctuation are yours, but the rest? It doesn't really go with the moronic gifs you seem to be obsessed with.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.

It doesn't it matter much whether he stole the content of those quips or just the formula for putting together.
It's just <clever sounding word> <clever sounding thing> + <humble object> = insincere modesty.
A madlib masquerading as wisdom.
When considering {Wisdom|Divinity|Awesomeness|GoatFucking} the {King|Divine|Void|Bible|Sphincter} is nothing more than a {Beggar|Worm|Shoe|Ant|Hole}
With 3 lists, half a dozen templates and a random number generator you have the makings of a very basic Twitter bot which can output Bill's greatest hits on infinite loop.

Re: Does Bill Wiltrack pretend to be a philosopher?
In fact, here's the code to do that (Windows PowerShell - works for anyone with Windows 7 or up.
Super easy. Output looks like:
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> C:\scripts\BillShitGenerator.ps1
In matters of Divinity the King is of no greater significance than the Worm
Code: Select all
#*******************************************************
#
# Script: BillShitGenerator.ps1
# Author: Flash!DangerPants
# Version: 1.0
# Date: Aug 26th 2016
# Description: A script to generate humble/wise bullshit
#
# To Annoy: Bill Wiltrack because he is a dick
#
#*******************************************************
# TODO List: A script like this should accept arguments!
$CleverThing = @(
"Wisdom",
"Divinity",
"All the DEEP stuff")
$CleverThing2 = @(
"King",
"Divine",
"Void")
$HumbleThing = @(
"Beggar",
"Worm",
"Shoe")
#TODO - Make Max = .len -1
$Rand1 = Get-Random -Minimum 0 -Maximum 2
$word1 = $CleverThing[$Rand1]
$Rand2 = Get-Random -Minimum 0 -Maximum 2
$word2 = $CleverThing2[$Rand2]
$Rand3 = Get-Random -Minimum 0 -Maximum 2
$word3 = $HumbleThing[$Rand3]
# Todo - Make more templates and put them into an array
# Use random to mix them up
$Template1 = "In matters of $word1 the $word2 is of no greater significance than the $word3"
Write-Host $template1

Interesting. I always wondered if bill was a 'bot'. He doesn't come across as genuine in any way.FlashDangerpants wrote:In fact, here's the code to do that (Windows PowerShell - works for anyone with Windows 7 or up.

Re: Does Bill Wiltrack pretend to be a philosopher?
Who wants to be a philosopher? I've had enough of philosophy, I want to be a Viking. Stuff happens to Vikings that philosophers can only dream about. I'm swapping my thinking cap for a helmet with horns sticking out of it. Now where's my long boat, I'm bound for the far side of the Atlantic.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.

He's a little over dressed for the type of Viking I had in mind.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.

I'll have no need of robes and the socks simply wouldn't work at all.Lacewing wrote: Are you trading in the robe and the socks too?
Well, I'm going to need transport so, as long as it has a well padded seat, the penny farthing will do admirably.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: Or the naked penny-farthing rides?
I've heard a legend of a far off place similar to Stonehenge, only smaller, it's a sort of place of pilgrimage for the Vikings. It's said they were first lured there by the fabled Wood Wench, a bewitching nymph like creature of the forest. Apparently, she mesmerizes the Vikings with her hypnotic dance and then gets them to do her bidding, although some say she just gets them so drunk that they'll do anything she tells them to. My quest will be to penny farthing my way westward in search of those sacred stones and subdue that wench of the woods and make her dance to my tune. Normally, embarking on such a venture would lead to a sticky end but I will be carrying with me the wondrous Hat of Harbal which renders it's wearer irresistible. I still anticipate a sticky end but one of an altogether more desirable nature.
