That makes for a sad song, but when it happens in real life, it makes you wonder about what kind of a person were they, that no-one noticed that they had died and were not coming around anymore.
I don't see why this is sad. A person dies and no one notices. So what? Who does it matter to? the person died. Once dead, he is either gone and does not care, or if you are so inclined to believe, gets reborn, forgetting about the past life and therefore does not care. The people who did not notice, did not notice. So who is sad? And therefore why is this sad?

It is sad for the obvious reasons.
Humans are gregarious, and thrive on the companionship of others.; friends and family.
To have lived a life where no one notices you are missing is a reflection on a life that was lived in loneliness.
The fact of the death is not in itself sad, but that the death revealed a person whom no one cared about enough to notice.

There is a difference between being lonely and being alone however. A lonely person does not want to be alone whereas a
loner obviously does. So not everyone who dies alone is lonely. Some prefer to be alone. A subtle but important difference

Reclusiveness is essentially peace-seeking behaviour. Through experience the reclusive find that, while being alone is not perfect, it tends to work out better than their interactions with others. From memory, he lived into his late 70s or early 80s, which suggests that we was at least probably kind to himself - a personality trait that allows a safe haven for loners who prefer to avoid the intimidating judgementalism of others. Self-flagellating loners are the ones in a truly sad situation.
The person I was referring to was not a recluse, but apparently was not a nice person. He visited a homeless shelter to recruit some help for some odd jobs around his house, and then cheated the homeless person out of $30.00. That got him murdered, and no-one noticed.
Whoever murdered him would have noticed (and so did you).
Yes, but I didn't find about it till over 2 weeks later when the police told me about what they found when the ran the plates of the car that the murder wrecked, which happened just before I found out about it.

Some of us are more aloof than others.

Attention of other people can make you suffer: stalkers, gossipers etc.

Would you like to get more attention in your real life, Harbal ?
We could figure out for you how to achieve this goal if you wish.

Not particularly, although if there were a financial benefit to it maybe. My original post wasn't a complaint, it was merely an observation.
