Respect
Respect
I want you all to reflect, for a moment, on an old fashioned concept that has fallen out of favour of late; namely, respect. Is it too much to expect that we extend a little of it when we respond to one another's posts, even when they don't deserve any? Personally, I think it is too much to expect and that is why I ask you to join me in resisting any attempt at having an obligation to behave respectfully imposed on us.
You know it maks sense.
You know it maks sense.

I don't believe in discrimination so the fairest thing to do is not give anybody any.thedoc wrote:Those who don't show respect, usually don't get any.

It is deeper than that Doc. The Harbal mindset is typical of the attitude people have when they support genocides with no sense of remorse. Take the Holocaust and the Armenian genocide for example. When this mindset decides that Jews, Armenians, or any other group aren't worthy of respect, a genocide is understandable. Be thankful that you are above thisThose who don't show respect, usually don't get any.

This is the first time I heard that being disrespectful to all Philosophy forum poltroons is the same mindset that would make "genocide understandable".Nick_A wrote:Doc wrote:It is deeper than that Doc. Objection! My mindset is not typical, Your Honour.Nick_A wrote: It is deeper than that Doc. The Harbal mindset is typical
I have an alibi. Witnesses will confirm that I was in Barnsley when that happened.Take the Holocaust and the Armenian genocide

This kind of logical progression is not untypical in Nicks posts.Dubious wrote: This is the first time I heard that being disrespectful to all Philosophy forum poltroons is the same mindset that would make "genocide understandable".
Re: Respect
Harbal you won't understand this but when people are is seen as being unworthy of respect, there is nothing more natural than murder when they are declared to be the cause of trouble.

Can I put that on my Resume?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: How ironic. Doc is a gun-loving American warmonger.
I would be more proud, but VT thinks that all Americans are gun-loving warmongers, so I can still be proud to be an American, and not a Bigot like she is.
Re: Respect
Well said, doc, gun-loving warmongers are human too. Gun loving warmonger's lives matter.thedoc wrote: I would be more proud, but VT thinks that all Americans are gun-loving warmongers, so I can still be proud to be an American, and not a Bigot like she is.

I thought you were. Perhaps I'm confusing you with your friend Henry Quirk. You don't seem to mind his mindless warmongering and gun-fixation.thedoc wrote:Can I put that on my Resume?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: How ironic. Doc is a gun-loving American warmonger.
