It seems you need to read the first part of the Bible, I believe it's 1st Genesis in English. Besides in the book of Armageddon u'll see he sends a destroyer, so he's not just all about that hippie stuff that Jesus preached.

Thing is, I've been in the quality department of a big newspaper if you want results, being overly nice is good, but only to a certain limit, then you have to be an asshole for the last mile.

That area which checks the quality, sees that there spepeation lines, the colores are good (which they never were), that the designers and journalists did their job right, etc. I ofc couldn't keep my stupid mouth shut and meddled in everywhere else too, like IT department and kicked the IT's chief's ass, when he wanted to put Voodoo cards because it was "high quality"..
NO!!! ..FFS!!! ..voodoo cards are good at putting out polygons, but not good at making true colors, so you need a 2D card. Also corrected a HUGE mistake that IT chief had made by buying EIZO monotors for sales staff which is a HUGE waste, because all the sales staff is doing is writing cheap letters, so it's overkill to buy EIZO monitors which is considered the Rolls Royce of monitors, told the CEO that the sales staff only really writes letters on those monitors and if it's heavy DTP (desk top publishing = ad design) then it will be send to Pre Press which has more powerful computers to take care of that.
So for the price of 1 EIZO monitor u can get like 2.7 monitors, so buy cheap monitors! ..the IT chief is sickly anal fixated and will spend LOADS of money on completely irrelevant things.

Oh yeh, you sound like a real prize. And if your quality was anything like your posts here, they must have had extraordinarily poor standards indeed. I only asked because I worked on a national newspaper a long time ago and I don't remember any 'quality department'. They check that journalists do their job properly? I thought the editor did that. No wonder newspapers are a load of crap now.
