Abortion is murder, or is it?
Re: Abortion is murder, or is it?
How long will it be before women leave abortion mills holding the head of an aborted baby up high as a symbol of triumph over male dominance?

About the same time I start drinking the blood of my enemies, and bathing in it. I've scheduled that for tomorrow. So yeah, tomorrow.Nick_A wrote:How long will it be before women leave abortion mills holding the head of an aborted baby up high as a symbol of triumph over male dominance?

Dal,
I don't disagree with you...all I'm doin' is taking your position and extending it out to its logical endpoint, that being: if Jane asserts 'my body, my choice' (asserts her autonomy) then she gets all that comes with that (bottom line, she gets the privillige of payin' all the bills, of bein' wholly responsible)...often, it seems, women assert 'my body, my choice' and expect some one else to foot, at least in part, the costs or consequences.
'No way is Joe gonna have a say in what I do with this baby' seems to go hand in hand with 'Joe is gonna pay (for the abortion, child support, palimony, etc.)'.
The two don't connect.

Some are stuck on no, some are stuck on stupid, you’re stuck on coward like ugly on mean.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Whatever that's supposed to mean. Why don't you just say what you really think instead of hiding behind silly riddles? Coward.Walker wrote: What's going on is abortion for lifestyle convenience.
Perhaps a clever lawyer could build a murder defense on the premise of retroactive legal abortion.
A jury sufficiently numbed and blasé about the ending of life just might buy it.
These days finding the jurors might not be difficult.

The one you write to exists in your mind.
The one who writes to you does not.

Because she's the only one who knows for certain that the baby is hers.
And there's even exceptions to that.

You are such a phony. No wonder you have to hide behind gobbledegoop. According to you, abortion is 'the most traumatic experience a woman can go through' (bullshit anti-choice propaganda) yet here you are, a male, claiming to suffer unbearably over the unwanted clots of blood of people you don't know, might not even want to know, and in all likelihood will never know of the existence of. Actually, I think gangrene would beat it hands down. You also, just coincidentally, happen to be a kristian. And of course, your religiosity has NOTHING to do with your heart-wrenching displays of grief over your god's sacred little creations. You are just 'kind'. You don't have a problem with backstreet abortion (which I imagine would be very traumatic indeed, and might be late term as well), it's only legal, safe ones that bother you.Walker wrote:Some are stuck on no, some are stuck on stupid, you’re stuck on coward like ugly on mean.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Whatever that's supposed to mean. It's all in your head.
A fantasy creation.
You're not making sense.
Abortion is legal in the US.
Tighten up the screws, one or two are loose.
Maybe three or four, or more.

So you wouldn't like that to change.Walker wrote:

The question you should ask yourself is, why your need for justification and debate of a legal medical procedure that any woman can have performed, and that in fact is sanctioned by society.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:So you wouldn't like that to change.Walker wrote:

My personal thoughts are none your business, because you are a demonstrated thug, you twist what people say, you make baseless attacks on character, you don’t listen, you display poor reasoning skills, and your attitude is combative and simplistic.
You have done nothing to relate the topic to philosophy. You’ve just made a lot of noise.
The question for me is, why should I write another word to you. I see no reason until you clean it up and act like a human being.
Time is short and I really have no need to enter into the demonstrated viciousness of the world you create with your thoughts and words.
We'll see how you act.

lol. Many would beg to differ. I didn't write the OP. I haven't written a single word that isn't true. Anyone of reasonable intelligence can see through the 'pro-life' movement. And please don't post back to me until you have learnt to reason and write and not get all 'butt-hurt' when you lose.Walker wrote:The question you should ask yourself is, why your need for justification and debate of a legal medical procedure that any woman can have performed, and that in fact is sanctioned by society.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:So you wouldn't like that to change.Walker wrote:

You're over forty years too late with your ignorant-activist format.
Abortion is legal.
Turn your attention to prohibition.
Spirits are also legal.

Re: Abortion is murder, or is it?
If you notice there is a pattern in this. Pro-lifers are part of a group which basically wants to sit on judgement on others. Usually we find that people who do not do any introspection will end up being judgemental. Introspection needs knowledge which in turn needs the courage to admit that there is something to learn. So we find that most of these pro-lifer kind of people also follow the most basic forms of religion across the world which basically consist of obey the orders of their respective Gods, since their knowledge is limited by their inability to acknowledge the need to learn.
Man is separated from an animal simply by his ability to learn, introspect and improve. If there is no introspection or improvement, we tend to go back to our animal instincts which are naturally violent. Since actual violence requires bravery and foolhardiness these people resort to the next best form of violence. Attempt at subjugation. Since women are perceived as the weaker sex, they concentrate their violent tendencies on women by justifying their own need for violence by quoting their own interpretation of their master's voice.
It is simple. People who introspect are too busy trying to improve themselves to judge others. People who don't introspect have no other business than to judge others.

So you are suggesting that men should have a say in whether or not a woman has an abortion? What exactly ARE you saying?henry quirk wrote:Dal,

Pretty freakin' obvious what I'm sayin'. I'm not talkin' about 'should'.
Simply: if Liz denies Joe any say in the pregnancy, then Liz has no business demanding Joe cough up a dime for abortions or child care or anything else.
More simply: if you tell me I got no say so, then stay the hell out of my wallet. If you expect me to foist up the cash, then expect to take my thinkin' into consideration.
Clear enough?
