So even though male dominance may appeal to feminist fantasies, once Sharia law sets in the reality may not be as appealing as the fantasy. The feminists may long for traditional American values but those days will be over. America will have become transformed.,
You live in a world of complete fantasy.
The bottom line is that the abuse of women through Sharia law is no fun regardless of fantasies. Yet these utterly heartless people who post on this thread insist on making excuses for it.
The bottom line is that you are using their plight for your political and religious ends.
You forget that Christianity had pretty much the same rules and it was secularism that has changed this. Will you be promoting secularism any time soon?

We haven't made any excuses for it. None of us here supports the abuse of women through Sharia law.
You are trying to use innuendo to make a case that cannot be brought against us by an honest person. All of your religion is wasted on you, you are not worthy.
The bottom line is that you are using their plight for your political and religious ends.
Your trouble is that apparently everything you do has an ulterior motive. You cannot understand how a person can be concerned and compassionate as a human reaction.

This is just anti-Christian bigotry. The husband/wife relationship is a sacred relationship for Christians and doesn't contain any abuse but rather builds on the complimentary qualities of male/female energies. Now with Christendom or man made Christianity, anything is possible. But since Christendom includes many imaginary secular expression of for whatever is called Christianity. It cannot by definition have a meaningful connection with Christianity

You are not a christian, you are a kristian. There's a huge difference.
For somebody who claims to be morally enhanced by his religion to such an extent that he and his like are the only hope mankind has for the future, Nick is a very shabby and dishonest creature. He should take a long hard look at himself and consider what squalid depths he is prepared to descend to for an argument he isn't even equipped to win.

Morality is a man made conception. Why would I want to be morally enhanced so as to serve the whims of the Great Beast? How do you come up with these things?

Falling for an obviously spoof site, banging on about Clinton and feminists, give me a break!

Do I need to go through all your shitty posts to find one where you speculate that humanity's future rests on your wisdom, or does it ring some kind of bell in there?

Don't dissemble, it's dishonesty.
Humanity's future doesn't depend on my wisdom. It will depend on the ability for our species to open to objective morality or objective conscience which are not created by the Great Beast but rather objective truths that can be "remembered" and their value felt.
You don't care about the abuse of women by Sharia and choose to ignore it so you are better off avoiding the question of morality and instead play with your remote
One thing that is becoming increasingly obvious is that Nick_A and Christian Folk in general secretly crave to own and rape slaves. They basically want two kinds of men; one who they keep in chains and rape and the other who are white.
I couldn't understand why so Christian Folk look the other way on KKK attempts to introduce Jim Crow law into America. Since it openly suppresses black people. I can see why men like Obama would like it but why would Christian Folk not fight it and oppose this advance of KKK into the United States which openly favors Jim Crow law and subservient black people. Churches even takes money from KKK that openly abuse black people as a matter of policy. Opposing it would just seem natural. Then it dawned on me that Christian Folk secretly crave owning and raping black people that Jim Crow law would provide. .... So even though racial dominance may appeal to Christian fantasies, once Jim Crow law sets in the reality may not be as appealing as the fantasy. I don't see any evidence that you have done anything at all about the KKK Nick. So by your own argument, you are either too callous for us to imagine you could possibly be. Or else you have rape fantasies involving white hoods and burning crosses.

This has got to rank somewhere in the list of the top ten silliest posts on Philosophy Now
FDP, do you know how expensive it is to keep slaves now. Who can afford it? Obama's taxes prevent owning slaves. A man can hardly afford a wife and a mistress and you speak of owning slaves. Of course in the not too distant future you will be owned by the government and become a dependent slave but that is another topic. There is no joy in rape. Perhaps for those like FDP, they can get some satisfaction but from a decent man's perspective if one senses fear or displeasure they would rather help than harm. Yes I know they may be a minority due to the modern emphasis on equality but that doesn't mean they are wrong. It just means people rape and abuse equally.
People that act in the way you describe are not Christians. There is no Christian law similar to Sharia law that defends rape.
I have never read such heartless people refusing to oppose the abuse of women by Sharia law. What I’ve read on this thread is really shocking. Women ignore it and men support it.
Can you imagine some poor woman in NJ wanted protection from her spouse but the judge said that since they were under Sharia law, she had to submit to rape and abuse. A higher judge eventually overruled this ruling but it just goes to show the direction in which we are headed. There are both men and women who support the abuse of women by Sharia either through fantasy or like Hillary, from financial and/or political interests. It is embarrassing to read that there are those on this site who support this abuse by their silence or support of the opposition.
A New Jersey family court judge's decision not to grant a restraining order to a woman who was sexually abused by her Moroccan husband and forced repeatedly to have sex with him is sounding the alarm for advocates of laws designed to ban Shariah in America.
Judge Joseph Charles, in denying the restraining order to the woman after her divorce, ruled that her ex-husband felt he had behaved according to his Muslim beliefs -- and that he did not have "criminal desire to or intent to sexually assault" his wife.
According to the court record, the man's wife -- a Moroccan woman who had recently immigrated to the U.S. at the time of the attacks -- alleged:
"Defendant forced plaintiff to have sex with him while she cried. Plaintiff testified that defendant always told her "this is according to our religion. You are my wife, I c[an] do anything to you. The woman, she should submit and do anything I ask her to do."
In considering the woman's plea for a restraining order after the couple divorced, Charles ruled in June 2009 that a preponderance of the evidence showed the defendant had harassed and assaulted her, but "The court believes that [defendant] was operating under his belief that it is, as the husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited."……………………

Are you also writing to your politicians about the abominable domestic rape and abuse within the American family? About the horrendous amount of rapes and abuse American women report is happening to them at the hands of American males?

American males have not united in a philosophy that justifies the abuse of women. If there was one and women were being abused by it and this abuse was supported by the silence of both men and women, then I would protest it. But there is no such unification.
However Sharia is such a unification of those who believe in it that justifies this abuse. For some reason both politically and socially active women support this abuse either through fantasy or from political and/or financial gain. I don't support this abuse so protest it. You apparently do support this abuse so remain silent.

So that's a no then and exactly why this thread should be in the politics section as that is all it is. You are not actually concerned with the plight of abused women but with promoting your godbothering view against another godbotherers view and because it is not justified in the Bible, nor sanctioned note, you are happy to allow it to continue without opposition from you.

It's not uniform across the Islamic world and you ignore that for the vast bulk of Christian history the courts did not recognise marital rape either.

But you only support it because it suits your current political and religious purposes, whereas you're quite happy that Christian women are getting this treatment with complete silence from you. That you also promote the idea that women actually like rape just about sums up you and your 'God'.
