Today Ali is laid to rest.yiostheoy wrote:I am not sure if Clay [sic] was lucky or if he had some kind of prophetic foresight.
The machinery of society tried to crush Ali and he prevailed. He did what he knew to be right and faced the music.
There’s lots of palookas. Ali was an icon of truth to power. The individual against the machine of society. He beat the paradigm that willfully and purposefully tried to destroy him.
A lot of people were for what was done to him and called it justice. A lot of people were against what what was done to him and called it injustice. He was like Thoreau and Gandhi. With his powerful ethical statement of self-sacrifice he embodied the truth of responsibility. I remember those who rightfully judged him then, who had a clear vision of truth through him. This validation of them confers a measure of credence to their other judgements about life that are further distant from history.
Paradoxically, peace emanated from Ali. I once read some of his interesting comments about his state of consciousness far into a fifteen-round fight.
Re: Not another f@cking thread on atheism.
Nobody gave a flying fig about Ali or his principles or his accomplishments for the past 25 years. Now he's dead and it can't do him any good, so much admiration and affection!
If only we could direct the overflow to some good and worthwhile people we still have among us!

The Negroes however worship him of course.
They all want to be like him so their fight their way through the ghettos and projects and essentially become criminals in the process.
In that respect Cassius Mohammad Ali Clay is actually NOT a very good role model for them.
But it is currently politically correct to say he was and is the greatest, which is a like, like most things that are also politically correct.
And now we are back on another f@cking thread on Clay instead of another f@cking thread on atheism again.

Hobbs does not get that he has been relegated to the trash heap of this P/N forum.
He continues to pretend he is exempt from the rules of anti-fallacy which everyone in the trash heap who is addicted to ad hom or some other fallacy has been condemned. He wastes his time typing posts that will never be read.

Because the apparatus of society attempted to destroy Ali,
And because atheism attempts to destroy God
(Despite protestations of agnostics)
The reality of Ali’s history
Is an allegory for theists
By which reality unfolds for heros
Such as Ali.

The entire world from Ho chi Minh to all the kids in the playground in any school in England to the Dali fucking Lama knew the Vietnam war was; a sick minded ploy to make money for arms dealers; a war that the US had no capability nor will to win; and a war that was illegal and unwinnable; a waste of life, and a disgrace and an international embarrassment to the USA.yiostheoy wrote: As it turned out the Viet Nam War ended up being a complete waste of American and Vietnamese lives as the US supported one corrupt puppet regime after another over there.
I am not sure if Clay was lucky or if he had some kind of prophetic foresight..
CC M. Ali had a moral position that the war was unethical and most of his generation with a ounce of decency or common sense knew that the war was nothing more than a waste of life and resources based on lies.
What are you five years old? Your ignorance is monumental
"As it turned out?" - what a fucking joke. Reminds me of that Bill Bailey sketch about Chantelle who thought the moon and the sun were the same thing; "As it turns out they are different."

At least keep me honestly on your ignore list. You can't help taking a peek though can you? Just to see what errors in judgement you've made that I love to point out.yiostheoy wrote:Hobbs does not get that he has been relegated to the trash heap of this P/N forum.
