And thar is your mistake. This thread is about a theist who cannot understand how there are people who can do without the psychological crutches he so desperately needs and is therefore assigning attributes to them which would make him feel better. We are just trying to correct him.

Most of you tend to forget that most atheists were theists before. So we know exactly what belief in God is. You, however, have no idea what we feel or think because you have never been there.

Everything you are accusing atheists of, Walker, appears to describe yourself and some of the well-known theist behaviors. It's astounding that you could be so oblivious and in such denial. You're just spewing and projecting like a madman. It's not funny or clever or accurate... it's just really stupid.

It's absurd to try to define characteristics of an atheist. That would be like trying to define characteristics of all people who don't have a belief in Santa. They're not a "group" that shares a common belief in something of some sort. So assigning characteristics to anyone who doesn't share a common belief with others is asinine. You don't know such a broad spectrum of people... and you're a fool to pretend that you do.

That you perceive rational analysis to be accusations speaks volumes.

And you keep avoiding the main issue. You canot know how we think and feel because you have not yet grown into it mentally. I was a theist. So I know exactly how your theist mind works. You have no clue how my atheist mind works because you need to let go of your crutches and grow up.

What of the young who need more than gain from their education and really are uninterested in honor? They need more than facts from their education and honor from society. They need the skills necessary to gradually acquire wisdom to satisfy the need for meaning. This doesn’t include ridicule of the greater need for meaning so many atheists in education are skilled at to the point of spirit killing. Secular education is about social conditioning and job training. Human education includes educating the mind, body, and spirit, for the sake of becoming human rather than a conditioned cog in the body of the Great Beast or society itself.

I think I understand what you mean by spirit killing. Spirit killing is the negative reactionism typical of the atheist. This spirit killing is the destroyer, just as atheism is a philosophy of negation.

Positive reactionism is spirit nurturing. This is the creative. Much more rare. Examples? Christ came from brutal times and the transmission of spirit nurturing has outlived that brutal time and other times until now.

You can spot a teacher who is a spirit-nurturer from a mile away.

See what I mean? Been there, done that. When I first read the whole net neti (I still believe Shankaracharya is the greatest writer ever), it blew my mind too. But again, you just will have to grow out of it.

Also, neti neti tells you to look both inward and outward to find God, not only inward. When you deny everything inside and out, then you will understand God. At least that is the concept. Basically tells you that when you are left with nothing, that which is left is God. More obfuscation for the already bewildered.
