Who Really is an Atheist?

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

Thats true as they were given the 'knowing' before they could reason.
I'm pretty sure you and nick would have been good pagans/muslims/hindus/etc too.

Irrelevant.

Don’t lose the focus.

The thread is about who is really an atheist.

If being an atheist depends on what others think about whatever they think about, then atheism is a reactionary philosophy.

This appears to be the case.

A reactionary philosophy does not acknowledge creativity if it does not acknowledge creation.

A reactionary philosophy thus hinges on the imagination, rather than creation.

So it doesn't seem to make much sense for men to distort THAT by giving it an identity, right? Wouldn't this "state/quality of being" also be beyond having an identity, if it is beyond time and space? Rather we could ask: What is the creation of MAN (in regard to that), and WHY has man created it?

You’re actually saying that man has the power to create and not just rearrange what is?

You’re obviously not an atheist, according to what Hobbes has told me is true.

Anyway, postings not yet created will soon be history, so we pause to let some tracks through time accumulate, tracks like snow roses made by the Snow Leopard in the snow.

They have exactly the same choice as everyone else.

Oh, my apology. I didn't read your stuff.

I was referring to the Vegetarian.

That must mean the we you are referencing.

Which means you're on the moron team, based on the evidence.

What position do you play?
My apologies. I didn't realize you were the obligatory pompous little beast who doesn't have anything of substance to say but just doles out insults to hide his own inadequacies. I will stay out of your way.

To Walker in brief reply to the running cup issue. I've actually lost track in the relevance.
And I doubt it is worth spending any more time/energy backtracking to unravel.

Not so, as you were the one talking about how 'God' chose you. I just pointed-out that it's odd that one of the other 'Gods' didn't choose?

No fear of that.
The thread is about who is really an atheist.
Is it, then why do you keep banging on about 'creators' then?
If being an atheist depends on what others think about whatever they think about, then atheism is a reactionary philosophy.
And Christianity was what then?

Atheism doesn't depend upon what others think, that's Christianity. My atheism comes from being told to make my own mind about this 'God' stuff. The problem is all the ex-theists who appear very upset at their ex-brethren and ex-faith. Atheism is not even a philosophy it's just an absence of a specific belief and whilst it's true that it gets declared when chatting to those who declare theism on the whole it's never a thought in.my life.
This appears to be the case.
It does appear to be the case that Christianity was a reactionary 'philosophy'.
A reactionary philosophy does not acknowledge creativity if it does not acknowledge creation.
Good job it's not a philosophy then.
A reactionary philosophy thus hinges on the imagination, rather than creation.
Given you're the type that says only 'God' can create I fail to see where you're going with this?
I'm also puzzled as to how your 'God' was any different as 'it' had to use 'its' imagination I presume when 'creating' and 'it' would have had to reuse that stuff of 'its' reality to make the 'new' stuff.

'Atheists' aren't anything. They just don't happen to believe in whatever 'god' you believe in. Other than that, they might believe in any amount of crap.
Stop being such an arrogant, condescending arse.

I wish it were that simple. But in reality the atheists who for whatever reason have become blind deniers have infested the school systems and insist on inflicting their psychological denial on the young. Anyone who feels the value of faith as a human quality is ridiculed. This form of spirit killing is truly an ugly stain on education. Somehow ugly stains are considered progress. There but for the grace of God go I.

Ahh no. People want schools to be secular, which is what they are in any enlightened society. What you want is to indoctrinate others into your childish beliefs. No one's stopping you from believing what you want. Just don't shove it down others' throats. Religios are about control. They are still trying to cling to their old power like barnacles on a boat hull.
Btw, what is it exactly that you think 'atheists' believe in? Being a religious nut I don't expect an answer, just more of your meaningless fluff and babble.

How utterly sad Vege. The young are held captive in institutions that take pride in spirit killing and inflicting their negativity on the helpless. It takes all kinds.

I've ceased to be surprised at the rambling insanities of the religiously afflicted. I suppose you should be pitied, but you just are so damned unlikeable.

This negative silliness doesn't bother me but it does bother me that the young in these institutions of child abuse are harassed in the same way by their captives. So they turn off to awe and wonder. What a shame.
