Take care, henry - rest up. Remember the rats; they don't like Mondays

Well the sun came out, melted the Camembert street signs, so everyone ate well, but had no idea where they were. In the confusion, the Earth was invaded by space rats with giant winkies.

Even so, I'll finish the thing next week.
Henry, I'm truly enjoying it, and not being facetious. I really like your humour. And considering the depths this forum is sinking to at present, you're all I've got. So get better and continue, please.
Henry totally surprised me with his creation. What other talents are hidden in this forum? Dalek, did something fall out of your sky?
Are you creatively challenged ?
If it comes spontaneously, I can be creative. But if it becomes a labour, all the fun is taken out of it for me, and I seize.

Rubbish! As has been alluded what fell from the sky was a sperm whale and a bowl of petunias and there was nothing improbable about it.

A very cold asteroid with a strange inscription beautifully carved into it in a language that no one has ever seen before

It landed on the lead balloon engraved with hope, breaking it in half, so now it read 'HO' and 'PE'.

A philosopher ventured the opinion that one was female, the other male. The balloon and asteroid respectively.
This was not random but a well-designed cosmic text. Or test.
Aligning the broken pieces with the asteroid carvings would spell out horror or homo; and perfect or perish. Depending.

And so, the ponderings and physical probings proceeded...

While those squashed squawked.

Is there anyone here who has not read the Hitchhiker trilogy, all 5 volumes, or seen some of the Dr Who series? I must admit that I have not seen the 6th volume, nor much of the latest series of Who, and I'm not sure how enthused I am about it, since Douglas Adams had died before it was written. It might be nice to know who the outsiders are when making these inside jokes.

Well, I'm behind now in Doctor Who, and I forget how many of the HG books I've read. Not all of them. So, outsider.

No, I would not say you are an outsider as many of the jokes run through out the series, and are not exclusive to one show or volume.
