With regard to what fell from the sky: it was a brief shower of cheese crackers and a used copy of the Highway Code. Which is quite unusual for a Thursday.

He he. Reminds me of the propaganda they used in the sci-fi book 'The Forever War'.

Yep, propaganda fed directly into the soldier's head.

Mandella's story is a favorite of mine.

The Space Rats: spawned eons ago in the Fast-Grow Clone Tanks of the Grimmich, a Lovecraftian Horror that made Its way into 'this' universe (from another, now-defunct, cosmos) only micro-seconds after the Big Inflation. The Grimmich (a corporate entity) consumes, acquires, dominates. It is known for Its creation of proxies to assist in in Its 'meals'. The Space Rats are one such proxy creation.

And a dismal failure they are!

The Grimmich, fiddle-farting with various DNA groupings, unintentionally installed in the original Space Rats an unquenchable lust. More than anything, the Space Rats want to, need to, f***.

to be continued...

Dear Skip.

When I first responded to this post it was because I assumed there was a point to it and that you would be following it up in due course. It now seems that this is not the case and the thread has decended into a frenzy of juvenile giddiness. Was this your intention from the outset?

You say that, as if it's a bad thing?

I had no intention. I wondered whether people were up for a little exercise in humour and fantasy.

I like this one. It reminds me of the Hitchhiker's Guide.

Yeah, I miss Douglas Adams. What a writer.

"Where's this from Henry?"

From my head, which is currently muddled by the flu...once the gum is outta my gears I'll write a bit more on the copulatin' space rats (but not too much more cuz I ain't gettin' paid).

As to how good it is: eye of the beholder.

Your degree of enthusiasm for my garbage has me thinkin' you're pokin' fun... :(

Even so, I'll finish the thing next week.

Henry, I'm truly enjoying it, and not being facetious. I really like your humour. And considering the depths this forum is sinking to at present, you're all I've got. So get better and continue, please.

Love it. What next?

Skip, I wasn't sure what you were hoping for when you provided a single question. Whether it was a challenge to individuals to create a story from an initial prompt or as some kind of team effort...

Either way, you still haven't answered my question:
What fell out of your sky, and why?

Hope the lead balloon didn't fall on your head?

Henry totally surprised me with his creation. What other talents are hidden in this forum? Dalek, did something fall out of your sky?
Are you creatively challenged ?
