Most Muslims are undeniably peaceful, but...

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

Back on topic...

I have no evidence that most muslims are peaceful. I also have no evidence that most christians, jews, wiccans, etc. are peaceful. They're all religionists (meaning, some, perhaps most, of what any of them do has little to do with the sensible and everything to do with directives issued by god(s) [which is to say, what other folks say god(s) said]). Right out of the gate, they're all suspect.

And: just cuz Joe, a fellow atheist, does a bad thng (in the name of atheism) I'm not seein' I have any obligation to lift a finger for or against him. Why should I expect it to be any different for muslims, or any one else?

Bob... your understanding and definition of divineness appears to be very limited and shallow. Evidently, whatever you describe as divine, requires some sort of credentials to prove the validity of any divine experience a person might have. That's not most people's understanding of divineness because that which is divine is not limited or accredited by the constructs and certifications of this world.

So, in seeing that your idea of divineness is different than most people's, why don't you tell us what divineness means to you... and where it comes from?

Also, please answer this: Of all the people in the world who claim to have divine credentials for telling other people that they are to be believed because of their divine credentials... what would be the general percentage representing the number of those people that you would believe? 90%? 2%?

Anybody can claim to be a prophet with divine inspiration. However, it is incumbent upon that person to provide mystical credentials supporting that claim, which I have done.

Bob, why do you avoid answering questions that are directly related to your claims?

Do you not see what a phony that makes you out to be?

You keep parroting the same statements over and over... like a child trying to convince everyone of something absurd. If you are as aware as you say you are, it shouldn't be difficult for you to engage in honest, balanced two-way conversation. If you are incapable of handling direct back-and-forth dialog without diversions and without the support of your repetitive canned phrases and ideas, then your limitations are clearly substantial, and there is no truth being shared. You seem to think you can put everything in a bottle... and keep handing it out. Anything in a bottle is DEAD, Bob... or will be if left there indefinitely. It doesn't make sense that anything divine would be so immobilized and dead... so all of your bottled ideas and behaviors are your own doing and undoing -- they do not represent the vibrant aliveness and expansiveness that most people associate with what is divine.

You're trying to sell your bottled stagnancy, Bob, and it's disgusting and irresponsible. You think putting a fancy label on it hides what's inside. But you can't even discuss questions about the ingredients and where they come from. You just keep insisting like some sort of psychotic salesman that they're "the best". Geez... keep your stupid bottles of petrified goo to yourself!

What the fuck are you talking about? Why are you so bent out of shape over the fact that I have mystical credentials that you, Billy Graham and the Pope don't? Get over it!

You have NO credentials with anyone, Bob. Your words and behavior PROVE that constantly. You're just an angry and deceitful loud-mouthed god-wanna-be like every other fanatic that drags a soapbox into the forum to proclaim how super special they are and how much more they KNOW than everyone else. Such people seem to hate humankind (sounds like you, right?)... and are striving to separate themselves from it (again, you)... and are incapable of answering questions about their claims (oh lookie, YOU again)... all of which is childishly obvious and idiotic (definitely describes your behavior). Evidently, despite all of the insightful feedback you've received from more perspectives than your own, you're too stupid or asleep to ever realize or admit to what you're doing. Nobody needs your piddley-ass path... we've got our own divine paths and connections!

Just like I asked another fanatic in the forum, I'll ask you: Why are you wasting your time and energy in a place (here) that doesn't buy into your claims (or probably anything else you say), nor offer you any new perspectives that you value? How wise is that on your part? NOT VERY, right? And this continually announces your lack of wisdom in everything you say and do. Not too bright!!! You're too hypnotized by your own shallow thoughts and words, Bob, to be embarrassed by your foolishness, nor to realize the vividly clear and BROADER picture that other people are seeing. Honestly, you should be in a museum.

Reverend Bob, your credentials all include admissions from your interlocutor that they don't understand what you are on about. I've got loads of those; do you think I may be a prophet too?

My two primary credentials are 1) The spokesman for the ultra-conservative Biblical organization, the Spiritual Counterfeits Project, said "The Ouzo Prophecy" was fascinating, tightly-reasoned, for sure, and he conceded it very well could be true, a statement that in the absence of a psychotic attack had a zero chance of being written, and 2) my discovery in 20 minutes of the origin of Cincinnati's Queen City name, indirectly linking it to Babylon and ancient Rome in the book of Revelation, something the rest of the world couldn't do in 170 years, again an event that had a zero chance of happening. If you can submit similar mystical credentials, you could very well be a prophet.

If you can submit similar mystical credentials, you could very well be an idiot just like me.

It's pretty sad when one has to resort to prevarication to make a point.

"How can you do a bad thing ... any thing in the name of atheism?"

Hell if I know.

Not relevant to my point anyway.

Again you demonstrate how little you know. You would be BLOWN AWAY if you knew more -- that's probably why you avoid it; it's not for weenies.
