First of all, Albert Einstein would be laughing at you.bobevenson wrote:Look, you don't have to be Albert Einstein to understand that what he is saying is that after reading the paper, which he says is not only fascinating, but tightly reasoned, for sure, he has to wonder if it's actually true since it contradicts every religious belief he and his organization have ever had.
Secondly, as I've asked you before, IF THAT MAN WAS "BLOWN AWAY", WHY DIDN'T HE WANT TO KNOW MORE? He didn't ask to know more... and you never heard from him again. That should tell you a great deal. He wasn't blown away, Bob... he blew you off.
I have given more open-minded attention to your stupid stories than you deserved... and you continually ignore all thoughtful and reasonable questions, because you don't want to question/explore/share any of it. So whose mind is closed, Bob? Who is spending their lifetime repeating their favorite phrases for a particular circumstance/idea that has demonstrated no value of any kind (other than humor for the people who listen to it)? You, Bob... you're the one who is doing that. You are on one black and white channel filled with lots of static. It's fine if that's as much as you want to stay dialed in... but at least be honest about it. Just admit that you're fascinated and obsessed by a certain hobby, in which you like to imagine yourself a superior being of some sort... and stop screaming at everyone else because they don't believe in your freakish trip.bobevenson wrote:If you can't understand that, your mind is totally closed and nothing will ever open it up.

I believe you probably do have a lot of pink things in your home, including your intimate apparel.thedoc wrote:And I could have Invisible Pink Unicorns running around my house, which puts them in the same category as the possibility of the Ouzo Prophecy being true.

That would also have the same chance of being true as the Ouzo Prophecy, "None at all".bobevenson wrote:I believe you probably do have a lot of pink things in your home, including your intimate apparel.thedoc wrote:And I could have Invisible Pink Unicorns running around my house, which puts them in the same category as the possibility of the Ouzo Prophecy being true.

The Spiritual Counterfeits Project (check 'em out: http://scp-inc.org/ ) are a bunch of right wing, religious nutters. Tragically for Reverend Bob, not right wing or nutty enough.Arising_uk wrote:What are the religious beliefs of this organization?
Reverend Bob, I'm confused; why does a bona fide prophet need vindication from such an organisation?

Why don't you check their website, or is that too much of a problem for you?Arising_uk wrote:What are the religious beliefs of this organization?Lacewing wrote:bobevenson wrote:... it contradicts every religious belief he and his organization have ever had.

Hey Bob... is the sole purpose of "connecting Cincinnati to ancient Rome and Revelation" to somehow indicate your fabricated credentials... in an effort to lend credibility to any lame brain thing you say from now on? Because you've indicated no significance or value other than that, correct?

The reason I sent the paper to the SCP was that I had earlier sent it to numerous Biblical scholars for their comments. All of them replied with some version of "I don't understand it." I thought they were just saying that to be nice and not be negative. I figured the SCP wouldn't say they didn't understand the paper, but would give me their honest opinion by viciously attacking it. Later, I sent the paper to Writer's Digest for a critical review. The English professor who reviewed it said, "I read your paper, reread it, and then read it again. The average person wouldn't know what you're talking about, what the point is, what you're trying to say," and later, "Your paper is something, but it's only something, and I reluctantly confess, I'm not at all certain what that something is." That's when I realized the Biblical scholars weren't kidding, which put the SCP letter in a mystical class by itself.uwot wrote:Reverend Bob, I'm confused; why does a bona fide prophet need vindication from such an organisation?

So, Bob, when someone reputable doesn't understand something you say, do you think that somehow indicates that what you say is mystical? Rather than the obvious explanation that what you say is senseless?

The SCP letter is an important prophetic credential, representing divine intervention.Lacewing wrote:So, Bob, when someone reputable doesn't understand something you say, do you think that somehow indicates that what you say is mystical? Why? They appear to be a bunch of right-wing Christian nut-jobs(although why the founder studied under a Hindu is anyone's guess) as such they'll be well into the Bible] and more than likely into Revelations.I figured the SCP wouldn't say they didn't understand the paper, but would give me their honest opinion by viciously attacking it. ...

No, they are well used to thinking in godbothering nut-job terms bob. What you should have understood is the first two but your megalomania only lets you choose the option to support itself. That's when I realized the Biblical scholars weren't kidding, which put the SCP letter in a mystical class by itself.
