No doubt this makes excellent sense to you but it makes fuck-all sense to me. Can you do a translation into plain English for a simple country lad?Walker wrote:Invalidation is the postulate and the principle.
Invalidation is an undeniable, powerful motive force. With life as the measure, invalidation is the scale of evil.
That’s right.
The scale ranges from innocuous desire for the improvement of humanity, to the common extremes already mentioned.
Philosophically and psychologically, invalidation is a key point of inquiry relevant to the times and human nature.
Invalidation is the sphere of evil, as a conceptual principle.
Acts of invalidation are subsets of the principle.
Certainly this does not invalidate, invalidation. Invalidation has its place, as evidenced by its existence. This is a simply a statement of how it is, in the world of non-acceptance.
The other sphere is acceptance, which is the source of peace, and beauty.
Could be the fork in the road for East and West.

I'd say with your demonstrated intelligence, the first sentence is all you require.

This is a rather ambiguous response. Does it mean that I'm too stupid to digest this word salad or does it mean that I'm too smart to make the attempt?Walker wrote:I'd say with your demonstrated intelligence, the first sentence is all you require.

Yet another person who puts the word before the thing it hopes to describe.
I bet you believe in the existence of evil too.
It's no wonder you and much of the world is so screwed up.
Re: Rule of Man ... Rule of Law
Why, it means that invalidation is so entwined with mind and knowledge that it influences thought, perception, intepretation of phenomena, and relationship. It is a fundamental aspect of the human condition, even a cause of leaving the nest. One need look no further for empirical evidence of invalidation’s pervasiveness than poor Hobbes there, an obvious and unwitting slave to invalidation.Obvious Leo wrote:This is a rather ambiguous response. And here we see the violence inherent in the system. Do I feel tortured? No! Walnker obviously feels that he does not need me, so invalidates me. If he needed something I have - he'd have to torture me.Walker wrote:Fuck off, asshole.Hobbes' Choice wrote:How sickeningly predictable.Walker wrote:Invalidation is the postulate and the principle.

Thus Walnkner looses his own argument.

So says the pathetic thug brain who lives and breathes invalidation.
To spell it out again:
- Invalidation is a fundamental aspect of the human condition.
Fucking idiot.

I don't understand how action which demonstrates that the information one has is more important than one's life or humanity is somehow validating.Hobbes' Choice wrote:Yes you would be being stupid - but there is no surprise there. When you torture you are giving a person lots of time and attention, thus demonstrating that the person tortured has something you want.
I said that you were not invalidating. I said that the person tortured had something you want, which is the case, even if it was a dog.
If you had enough imagination to understand why you keep kicking dogs in the balls, you might understand yourself much better.

There is a difference between validation and not invalidating; between invalidation and not validating.BigWhit wrote:I don't understand how action which demonstrates that the information one has is more important than one's life or humanity is somehow validating.Hobbes' Choice wrote:Yes you would be being stupid - but there is no surprise there. Torturing is a two way deal. The tortured as something the torturer wants. The torturer depends for his role on the information held up by the tortured.

It's no surprise that in the following article, the word "invalidate" is not used, and the complex relationships between tortured and torturer is examined for its negative effect on both sides of the dependancy. Far from discrediting, or negating the tortured, the torturer relationship only exists whilst the victim has value to them.
