Change

List some things you think should change, and why, then how.

In this life I think we are slaves to the things we enjoy. We are afraid to lose them or be denied access to them. Therefore we behave in a way that prevents change. Does the world need change? I believe it does. People suffer all around the world. These people have little or no choice in their living conditions.

The rich control the world around us and govern us like sheep. We promote a society that basically allows the evil to thrive while the good suffer. Sometimes the good even have to become evil in order to survive. This existence taints us.

We have people who are apathetic as well. These people have no interest in helping ease the suffering of the other beings present in this world. Why? They are slaves to the pleasures provided by the rich rulers. We are being blinded to the truth around us.

People are being broken so that they conform to a society that simply wishes to control them for its own selfish needs. There are some good points. We need to keep the good and work on the bad. Even what we think is good may need to change.

We live in an overpopulated world, mainly because we breed greedily. Most of us probably can’t help it, after all, it is built into us as instinct. I think we should breed selectively and with caution. Breeding should be a carefully monitored and controlled activity. Doing so would lower population and ensure that only people who are capable of raising children in a proper environment are breeding. I also think that in order to breed you should pass tests relating to psychological health, physical health, and life stability. Now this doesn’t mean people won’t be able to breed, it just means that they will have to wait until they can provide a safe and productive environment for a child to grow up in.

Everyone has a purpose in life. Everyone has the capacity to adapt and change to go beyond what they think is possible. We are born with varying levels of mental, physical, and social attributes so that we may all perform different functions in this world. No one is better than anyone. Everyone is needed for a society to function, just like almost every organ in the body is needed for it to function. No matter how insignificant someone may seem, think about whether or not you could do better with their body, mind, and experiences.

We spend so much time judging others and punishing people when they are just doing the best with what they were given. Stupidity or evil should be treated with more compassion and treatments that are corrective versus punishing. As of right now, we remove dangerous people from society and punish them, expecting that punishment to correct them. In reality this punishment can make a person even more messed up in the head. I do believe that dangerous people should be removed until they are corrected, but I also believe that these dangerous people should be provided with humane services to correct their bad behaviors.

A drug addict is only partially to blame for their crimes. Most criminals are just trying to survive with what they are handed with in life. Can we truly blame someone for wanting to feel something good in life? I’m willing to bet a good majority of criminals have known a great amount of suffering in their lives. In the end they are still human, but we condemn them to inhumane treatment.

Change what you can, and be prepared to live with the things you cannot. Speak your mind, and never given in to arguments based on tradition, custom, or motivated by nation, cultural or religious pride.

Unpack everything and seek to know the truth.
