Politics above patriotism!

Post by raw_thought »

Republicans are demonstrating a huge lack of patriotism (and cowardice). They should call ISIS “ Daesh!!!
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/w ... -1.2438861
Obviously Republicans are afraid of calling ISIS by its true name, Daesh. I guess they are afraid of being killed by ISIS. ISIS is not Islamic and it is not a state. We should call them what they are and not what they want to be called. They are not Islamic extremists. They are not even Muslim!!! Would you call David Koresh https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Koresh a Christian extremist?? All this talk about calling ISIS, Islamic extremism is stupid and puts our troops and mission at risk.
Some Republicans want to deny children safety from Daesh! They even say awesomely unpatriotic things such as that only Christian refugees should be taken in. This plays into Daesh’s hands! They want people to believe that it is a fight between Christianity and Islam. It isn’t!!! It is between us and a Satanic organization. Most Muslims want to join us in this fight!

I realize that common sense to you looks insane.
ISIS wants to be called an Islamic extremist organization. They want the conflict to be between Islam and the west. They have even proclaimed that anyone calling them "daesh" will be murdered by them.
Most Muslims hate daesh. They call "ISIS" "daesh" because it lacks any understanding of the Koran. Unfortunately, Republicans want to fight all Muslims. * That is not only unethical (most Muslims are peaceful ) it is also unpatriotic (it destroys our interests in the mid east and aids our enemy, daesh).
* Perhaps they do not want to fight all Muslims but they definitely are willing to risk our (US) interests and the lives of our soldiers for political benefit. That is the definition of "traitor"!

There are journalists on the alternative media talk show radio programs that continue to make the case that we {the US, Western powers and the so called New World Order elite} have generated the current problems in the Middle East and
have in fact deliberately created the so called Islamic state - They make a good case but good cases can be made for many
conspiratorial views of history - I have yet to see any proven. Part of their argument is we facilitated the removal of the strong man dictators such as Hussein, Kidafy and Muhbarich in Egypt and therefor destabilized the region. What to you think?

It is possible.*. However I am only making the modest claim that calling daesh an Islamic extremist organization is traitorous.
* I have often thought, since it is universally acknowledged that we can defeat daesh in two weeks (the counter argument, that I find silly,is that a power vacuum will create something worse then daesh) why dont we???
1. It provides an excuse to clamp down on the freedom of the internet.
2. It lets us (US) maintain a presence where the oil is.
Note that I am not a bleeding heart liberal that says "no blood for oil". Without oil western civilisation is over.

We also put those strong men in power! We hated democracy when it did not serve our purposes.
Actually I should not use the word "our". The elite that rule us are American in name only.
PS: I am not saying that they work for another country. Countries are anachronisms. The new countries are the international corporations. Their leaders (undemocratically unelected) tell the "leaders" of the various countries what to do.

Let me add that I am a white hot hawk in regards to daesh. Similarly, we were responsible for putting Hitler in charge. Our industrialists loved Hitler. He kept the workers submissive. However, I would have willingly died to destroy Nazism.

Obama (who I voted for twice) is like a man with a house full of cockroachs. He steps on two or three per day. That is pointless!!! The only solution is to call terminex (an insect extermination company).

I am from Michigan. I now live in North Carolina. I went to work. No one was there! I called corporate. They asked,"are you insane???"
I answered," sure, but what does that have anything to do with it?" They responded by saying that no one goes to work in a blizzard. I looked about. At most an 1/8 of an inch.
