Death of PoMo
Postmdernism isn't dead, by a long shot but it has merged back into Modernism after a 100 year split characterized in linguistics-literature ( nothing else) by French philosophers-thinkers: Saussure, Levi-Strauss, Barthes, Foucault, Derrida, Deleuze, Debord, Guattari, Baudrillard and their American apologists DeMann & Yale lit crit school of mid 60s to early 80s. We are now living in the UltraModern, single-system globalcommodity capitalism ruled by digital devices shortening human attention span to that of a goldfish ( 8 seconds).

Re: Death of PoMo
Gas, you talk about post-modernism as if it were an agenda-driven movement, rather than as it is usually understood; an identifiably disjunct stage of development in the history of cultural activity. Was that deliberate? Do you think post-modernism has an agreed agenda?

Re: Death of PoMo
How can it be dead if what you describe as its substitute is postmodernism, too?
