Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women?
Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women?
Pickthall4:34
"Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other,
Every moral legal system I know of in the West and most of the non-Islamic world begins with equality for all.
Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women?

The pathway of evil in every society flows through an institutional grid of religious, cultural and social values. Religion is the world's most dangerous institution, followed closely by government. All institutions are populated and led by false prophets.

Of course. That's the only politically correct thing to do. The politically correct way is to never have double standards, and to never, EVER patronise any group of people as having different and lesser standards of behaviour to adhere to.Greatest I am wrote:Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women?

No argument.bobevenson wrote:The pathway of evil in every society flows through an institutional grid of religious, cultural and social values. Religion is the world's most dangerous institution, followed closely by government. All institutions are populated and led by false prophets.
But those prophets can only speak to those who will listen.
Have a look at how this prophet was rejected by those who chose to hate instead of choosing to love. Christians are one sick bunch.

I guess that I am not politically correct and would rather patronize the moral and denounce the lesser standard.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Of course. That's the only politically correct thing to do. Christianity slowed our moral progress enough that I will do what I can to not have Islam do the same.

I would rather let them kill each other off but the rest of the world has more heart than I it seems.
If Muslim countries have a beef with the U.S., they have a large force within the U.N. to bring sanctions against the U.S. if they can move a majority.
The U.S. is either the cop of the world or is not. The majority seem to be on the U.S.'s side.

It's not the cop of the world, it's the paranoid, self-righteous, conceited bully of the world.

Absolutely not but in Western countries women have equal rights under the lawGreatest I am wrote:

And this applies to Muslim women just as much as it does to non Muslim women
Re: Should the rest of the world adopt Islam's view of the inequality of women?
It's simply primitive behaviour from men who have chosen to embrace primitivism rather than adopt modernity - because it suited them to do so. They have been beaten, bruised, dominated, humiliated and ruined by western and Russian aggression and the men clearly decided that they can at empower themselves by treating women like garbage, just as they were treated like garbage by western invaders. Bullying tends to pass down the line.
The greater the conflict, the more extreme the fundamentalists become. Relatively moderate countries like Egypt and Turkey are starting to put the screws down on women now as the extremism of their neighbours builds.

This is true except where a Muslim man will use Sharia or peer pressure to keep his chattel wife and daughters in line.surreptitious57 wrote:Absolutely not but in Western countries women have equal rights under the lawGreatest I am wrote:

The trick is to somehow help prevent the oppression of these free women.

So Eastern misogyny and all that the Eastern women are suffering is due to the West.Greta wrote:It's simply primitive behaviour from men who have chosen to embrace primitivism rather than adopt modernity - because it suited them to do so. Somehow I do not see that as true but perhaps that is why so many of them want to move here and so few Easterners want to fight to free their countries. Seems we are also making the Eastern men into cowards.
