Philosophically, who here is progressive?
Who here is pro-active in their philosophical approach to where we are as a human race?
Who prefers texting someone as a basic form of communication as opposed to speaking to a person over the phone?
Who here doesn't carry ANY actual money in their purse or wallet as opposed to credit cards & devices such as Google Wallet?
Who here is eliminating ALL paper in their lives & putting their important papers on-line or in their computer?
Who here owns or is contemplating owning an electric vehicle?
Who here has gotten rid of ALL their paper books & magazines?
Who here has begun transferring their utilities to all renewable energy?
One cannot embrace the future without first letting go of the past.

However you would like to respond. You could address the questions personally or you can view the quote as pertaining to a generic human being.

Well, I don't need to embrace my future, as I can't escape it anyways. As to others', why would I?

To be more direct & concise, I am referring to moving from the second industrial revolution to the third industrial revolution, which is where we find ourselves today.
Mankind's three industrial revolutions:
1 - Farming
2 - Hydro/electric
3 - Digital Revolution
- more precisely, Are you embracing the digital revolution?

Re: ~ EMBRACING THE FUTURE! ~
I am contemplating my next car to be an electric. I intend to seriously shop for one.
I mainly use a credit card but will carry a little cash in order to get a discount when I buy gas.
...Prefer to talk on the phone to texting.
If I had to label myself I would say I am a progressive-realist and a futurist. I treasure the right to vote and I exercise my franchise to cast a vote. I make sure I do vote every chance I get. Its an informed vote. I vote only for those who are authentic individuals espousing ethical policies.

I am fifty one years old and I read paper [ books ] and digital [ computers ]
I keep most newspapers and all magazines and books so throw little out
I do not have a mobile but I do not need one as I am a complete loner
I do not have a car as I do not drive but I walk everywhere instead
I live here in Birmingham in England [ not the one in Alabama ]

...and ...and...aaaand how do you relate to these characteristics?
How has your daily life changed as you transition into this dynamic new revolution?
That was kind-of the topic of this thread...but then you would have actually had to have read the original post.
Cheers!

Internet, check. Renewable energy, bring it on. Driverless electric vehicle, buy me one. Leave the ambiguously dangerous snake out of the vehicle when you do.
Cheers.
