Should Scott Walker be banned from running for president?

How should society be organised, if at all?

Should Scott Walker be banned from running for president?

Post by raw_thought »

Should a candidate be barred from running if he is proven to be a moron?
1. When asked what he would do as president Walker answered that hypotheticals dont exist. Ummm yeah. But that does not mean that an answer to a hypothetical is meaningless. Ummm hypotheticals are the most important questions to ask a candidate! For example, if you were president what would your policies be?)
2. Walker proposed a wall to keep out illegal immigrants from CANADA! :?

I haven't been to the US since the 20th century, technically. And the only reason I might consider it, is to see a Bison's baseball game some evening. Really, save your money on the wall. Unless it keeps your idiots out of Canada. We already have enough of our own.

I understand that Kim Davis, the clerk who refused to validate gay marriages is an elected official. It seems the US manages to offer two extremes of democracy: at the highest level it offers a choice between two rich right wing capitalists, who seem to represent no one but themselves. and that the bottom end democracy knows no limits and manages to put incompetent officials into posts for which no democratic discretion is allowed.
I suppose if you are able to elect a moron to the post of clerk, then why not president.

I think Canada would benefit from such a wall- to keep out Americans.

Not my daughter, my niece, but the answer is yes. She's started her new posting and is now living in an apartment on the Waterloo campus. My brother and his wife accompanied her over there and are calling in to visit me on their way back home to NZ. No doubt they'll give me a full report.

You would be right in assuming we are a close family ( what remains of it).

No doubt there are enough Canucks who would be smart enough to find a suitable place to lean a ladder against a wall several thousands of kilometers long. Mexicans too, no doubt.

All very well and good but if he wants to keep out illegal immigrants can the Brick Curtain be built high enough to keep the Canada Geese in Canada?

I am from USA. My dad is from Canada. His parents (Canadians) vacationed in Seattle Washington and my dad's mom gave birth to my dad there. They went back to Ontario Canada. My dad lived there until he became 16 and ran away to USA. He worked on the railroad. He got draffted!!! He thought, WHAT!!! I am a Canadian. How can I be drafted into the US army?" He was born in USA.
He served, and then used the GI bill to go to college in Michigan, met my mother and stayed. All my dad's side are Canadian. Now that is a surreal take on immigration!!
My dad loved telling this joke,
How did Canada get its name? They put all the letters in a hat. The first letter drawn was a "C" everyone said,"eh". Then an "N" was drawn. Everyone said "eh". Then a "D" was drawn. Everyone said, "eh".
