This article makes excellent points. It seems that there's always a question mark "Is this science?"

.
I notice that whenever you use a link within a post that you do not receive any responses.
I know I NEVER click your links.
Perhaps if you want to encourage communication within this forum you & on your particular posts you would abandon using links.
* LIFE PRO TIP - We are being fucking BLASTED by information through the internet. The LAST THING anyone wants to do is READ ONE MORE LONG LINK.

Disagree. Not unusual for the links to be the best part of the entire thread. It's simply a matter of being suitable to one's interests ... and usually it's the links which are more interesting.

I always regarded science as the search for truth (along with philosophy).Dalek Prime wrote:I used to naively believe science was about truth. Now I'm not so sure. I'm not even sure that philosophy, as practised, is about truth.

So did I. Note the past tense. But not as practised in the world. It's ruled by desire, practicality and convenience.Philosophy Explorer wrote:I always regarded science as the search for truth (along with philosophy).Dalek Prime wrote:I used to naively believe science was about truth.
