Not if it can be avoided, mate. Gravity is a bit of an embarrassment to physicists because they don't know what it is so it's a lot easier to just look the other way and pretend it isn't happening rather than try to figure it out. Gravity is like the uncle who always drinks too much at Xmas. You hope he just passes out quietly before becoming too much of a pest.
