Hubris and Hillary Clinton

Post by tbieter »

Now that the FBI is investigating Clinton's private email server, I suspect that we are going to witness the dynamic known as hubris and nemesis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hubris I suspect that Biden will join the race.

As bad as Trump would be, I'd rather have him than Hillary.

Trump is friends with the Clintons, ever think he deliberately joined just to throw the race at the end?

More evidence of the 'land of the free'. I suppose your definition of 'freedom' is having your private emails spied on. Your politics aren't just dirty, they are pure, unadulterated faecal matter.

Most analysts are saying that the FBI investigation is little more than a smear campaign.
She is guilty of owning here own computer server. There is nothing more beyond this.
Trump is a novelty candidate. The US people are doomed if he were ever to get elected.
Bernie Sanders is the only candidate with an interest in the welfare of Americans, and the only one with a moral backbone.

That is the most idiotic statement of the month. What do you think he would do that would help anyone but himself?

Hopefully nothing, except to make himself richer, which would be a lot better than the crap she might try to ram down our throat.

Even Americans aren't going to be stupid enough to elect Donald Trump to the presidency. I simply refuse to believe it even though it is almost impossible to overestimate the stupidity of the average American voter.

Such as what?

And who do you think will pay to make him richer? Not you, obviously.

An old friend of mine used to say; "You don't get anywhere overestimating the American Voter." If the media back Trump then his chances are doubled. People seem all too keen to participate in their own oppression if they are told they might pay 0.1c less tax.

Will Clinton's pride (In believing that, as secretary of state, she could perform the duties of her office on a secret private email system) lead to her downfall as a presidential candidate?

"What do you think he would do that would help anyone but himself?"

You can ask that question of any one with the temerity to put him- or her-self out there as potential 'leader' and -- yeah -- that applies to Bernie Sanders as well.

Me: I wouldn't give you a plug nickel for any of them, on the Left, Right, or in the Middle.

Used car, and snake oil, salesmen, all.

With apologies to Bob and his AEP: the only real solution is to force the parties, large and small, to foist up a better grade of candidate. This should be done through an active, intelligent, electorate. Unfortunately, today, in the U.S., the average voter is fat, domesticated, and stupid and those who few are lean, wild, and intelligent see no point in engaging in the Hobson's choice that is the election process.

A binding None Of The Above option on every ballot, of every election, from the national all the way to the municipal, could help (break Hobson's back by restoring voter power) which, of course, is why it'll never be implemented.

So: America will continue to be the Land of Political and Cultural Schizophrenia (simply cuz it won't take its 'medication'), and we'll drag the rest of the world, shrieking, right into the asylum with us.
